BULK MATERIAL CONVEYOR

A bulk material conveyor include a housing having a first end with an inlet and a second end with a discharge and a conveyor at least partially positioned in the housing and extending from the inlet to the discharge. A support assembly has a base frame and an extension mechanism operably connected to the base frame for positioning the housing into an inclined position. A motor assembly is configured to drive the conveyor for advancing bulk material through the housing. A hopper is disposed at the intake end of the housing and includes a tapered wall section extending downwardly from a first end to a second end adjacent the inlet in the housing. A gate assembly is interposed between the hopper and the housing and includes a door positionable between a closed position and a fully opened position for metering the bulk material directed into the housing at the inlet.

A belt and a belt conveyor are provided for transporting particulate material and especially oilseeds up the belt conveyor. The belt conveyor can include an intake end having a hopper, a discharge end, a body extending between the intake end and the discharge end and a belt. The belt travels along a travel path in the belt conveyor; the belt traveling through the hopper, up an upper run in the body to the discharge end, down a return run in the body, and back through the hopper. The belt can have a top surface having pairs of adjacent ridges provided on the top surface, each ridge having a pair of arms extending from a point, in a travel direction of the belt, wherein each pair of adjacent ridges define a v-channel on the top surface of the belt.

Monitoring system for conveyor belt

Surface image data relating to an upper cover rubber is continuously and successively captured by a surface camera device and input to a computation device. Each piece of surface image data is stored in a database in association with data on the circumferential position of that surface image data on a conveyor belt and data on the time at which that surface image data was captured. An input unit is used to display any piece of surface image data on a monitor, register surface image data in which a predetermined defect is present on the surface of the upper cover rubber in the database as data to be monitored, and automatically register in the database surface image data having the same circumferential position data as the data to be monitored as related data to be monitored. Such monitoring system determines the state of damage of a cover rubber surface.
