Cleated Belt Tube Conveyor with Improved Tracking and Capacity
A cleated belt tube conveyor for conveying granular material, such as seed and grain commodities. The conveyor comprising a cleat row profile that is optimized for maximizing transfer capacity and minimizing wear. The cleat row profile may incorporate one or more of the following aspects: taller central cleat member and a slanted or clipped peripheral cleat. A cleated belt conveyor guide element, comprised of a plurality of longitudinally spaced-apart lugs that extend from an inner surface of the belt is also disclosed. A cogged roller, having a plurality of channel segments divided by drive bars, complements the guide element, increasing the power transfer and tracking ability over a cleated belt lacking a guide element. Also a baffle assembly can be disposed within the conveyor tube to limit material back flow. The baffle assembly can be configured with a belt passage aperture that corresponds to the cleat row profile.
CONVEYOR SYSTEM, OPERATING SYSTEM USING CONVEYOR SYSTEM, AND METHOD
A conveyor system includes a looped belt and a conveying portion cover. The belt has a conveying portion and a retreating portion movable through the conveyor system, each of the conveying portion and the retreating portion having an interior surface and an exterior surface, the exterior surface of the conveying portion configured to convey materials. The conveying portion of the belt is disposed within the conveying portion cover, the retreating portion of the belt disposed exteriorly of the conveying portion cover, and the conveying portion cover has a convex sliding surface and a tubular shape. The interior surface of the conveying portion of the belt is slidable along the sliding surface of the conveying portion cover.
BELT-ON-BELT DRIVES FOR STEEPLY-SLOPED PORTIONS OF LONG CONVEYORS
A conveyor system, at least a portion of which may traverse a continuous slope sufficiently steep such that tensile forces associated with overcoming the effects of the slope are several times larger per unit length of run than tensile forces per unit length of run due to main frictional resistance of the conveyor system, may include a belt-on-belt drive. The belt-on-belt drive may include at least one internal belt configured to operably engage the carry belt of the conveyor system so as to frictionally drive the carry belt over at least a one-third length of the sloped run. At the portion of the external belt driven by the at least one internal belt, the rate of tension change in the external belt may be configured to be approximately zero or a modest rise. In some embodiments, the longitudinal stiffness of the at least one internal belt may be substantially greater than the external belt's longitudinal stiffness.

Belt conveyor with distributed motorization, and associated material transport method
A belt conveyor includes a conveyor belt configured to move in a longitudinal direction. The conveyor belt has two large faces, and a number of support stations distributed longitudinally along the conveyor belt. The support stations are configured to support the conveyor belt by one of the large faces. At least one support station includes a drive motor configured to drive the conveyor belt in the longitudinal direction relative to the support stations.
