DIGITAL DENTAL ARCH DATABASE
The invention relates to a method for producing a denture, characterized by a) providing a predefined dental arch database, the dental arch database having data on maxilla and mandible arches in occlusion; b) generating the denture on the basis of the dental arch data on the maxilla and mandible arches in occlusion.
DENTAL IMPRESSION RETAKE KIT AND METHODS THEREFOR
A method includes receiving representations of a first set of dental impressions including a first dental impression of an upper dental arch of a user and a second dental impression of a lower dental arch of the user having been created using contents from an initial dental impression kit sent to the user, identifying a defective dental impression, sending a retake dental impression kit to the user where the retake dental impression kit includes a set of dental trays consisting of dental trays corresponding to the dental arch associated with the defective dental impression, receiving representations of a second set of dental impressions of the dental arch associated with the defective dental impression, and manufacturing, based on the second set of dental impressions, a plurality of dental aligners specific to the user and being configured to reposition one or more teeth of the user.
SURGICAL GUIDE PLATE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
Disclosed are a surgical guide plate and a preparation method therefor. The preparation method comprises the following steps: a) bonding a radiation-blocking material onto an oral mucosa, and putting on an occlusal rim; b) carrying out CBCT photographing to acquire CBCT data carrying information of the radiation-blocking material; c) acquiring STL data of an oral cavity surface; d) matching the CBCT data with the STL data; e) loading occlusal rim data; f) carrying out intelligent tooth arrangement; and g) designing an implant, and generating a surgical guide plate. By means of the preparation method, the level of comfort of a patient can be increased, preparatory processes are reduced, a radiation guide plate does not need to be made, the number of return visits is reduced, the clinical medical cost is reduced, the precision of a surgical guide plate is increased, the software design time is reduced, and the treatment experience is improved.
FUNCTIONALIZED PROSTHETIC INTERFACES FOR THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF DENTAL CONDITIONS
Provided are compositions and devices containing microspheres encapsulating one or more drug(s). The compositions and devices may be used to treat or prevent infection associated or caused by oral mucosal diseases, oral infections, oral conditions, dental conditions, or surgical recovery. The devices include, but are not limited to, splints, mouth guards, full dentures, partial dentures, or fillings. The devices may be manufactured from filaments that have a composition of the present disclosure. Also provided are methods of making and using the devices and compositions.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF DIGITAL WORKFLOW FOR SURGICAL AND RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY
A digital workflow process and associated devices and tools for providing dental restorations and, more particularly, to precise and efficient reconstruction and replacement of teeth using novel digital workflows and improved dental scan bodies, abutments and other dental devices and tools to efficiently achieve a more precise fit and optimal form and function.
MOUTHGUARD ASSEMBLY
A mouthguard assembly that includes a U-shaped body, a protective member, and a protective layer. The body includes a posterior wall, an anterior wall, and a middle bite portion disposed between the posterior wall and the anterior wall. The posterior wall and the anterior wall extend from the middle bite portion to define a groove. The protective member is at least partially embedded within the body, if not completely embedded within the body. The protective layer covers the teeth-side surface of the protective member. Also disclosed are methods for fabricating the mouthguard assembly.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING TEMPORARY DENTAL COVERINGS
A set of baseline stents of people's teeth of different sizes may be used for a process to create temporary dental coverings. A range of sizes of the baseline stents may range from a smallest size to a largest size. A measurement of a stone-based model formed from a mold taken of the patient's natural teeth and gums may be made using a measurement tool. The measurement may include measuring from a left-side tooth to a corresponding right-side tooth. In an embodiment, unique identifiers (e.g., “A”-“N”) may be given to each of the baseline stents, and the measurement tool may show an identifier when the measurement is made. The baseline stent may be used to augment the model used to form a patient-specific stent used to take an impression of the patient's prepped teeth. The temporary dental coverings may be sculpted, shined, and attached to the prepped natural teeth.
Therapeutic tooth bud ablation
A system including a sensored ablation probe tip and a virtual stent, said sensored ablation probe tip for use in a tooth bud ablation procedure that results in tooth agenesis, said sensored ablation probe tip for use with an ablation probe unit. A system including a sensored ablation probe tip and a stent, said sensored ablation probe tip for use in a tooth bud ablation procedure that results in tooth agenesis, said sensored ablation probe tip for use with an ablation probe unit.
DENTURE PREPARATION ASSEMBLY, METHOD AND APPARATUS
The invention concerns an apparatus for a denture preparation assembly, comprising an impression tray piece for insertion into the mouth of the patient and to receive impression material and a dental model jig attachable to the impression tray piece, said dental model jig including model teeth, wherein the attachment between the impression tray piece and the dental model jig is adjustable to allow the dental model jig to be moved in the mouth of the patient to a desired position relative to the impression tray piece, said relative position being retainable to allow scanning of the impression material and the dental model jig.
The invention assists in 3D scanning for digital design/manufacture of dentures, and allows the model teeth to be positioned and orientated in the patient's mouth relative to the impression material in the impression tray piece in the patient's mouth, the position and orientation being retained when the apparatus is removed.
SYSTEM, METHOD AND COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR PRODUCING IMPLANT PLACING GUIDE
According to the invention, there are provided a system, a method and a computer program for producing an implant placing guide. In some embodiments, a method might include acquiring a three-dimensional intraoral image by a CT scan in a state where a guide tray filled with an impression material is inserted into an oral cavity of a patient and receiving implant planning information on the three-dimensional image. The method may continue by matching an image of the guide tray and the three-dimensional image by using marker information of the guide tray and locating a guide hole on the image of the guide tray. Next, the method may continue by generating an implant-placing-guide processing file by using the image of the guide tray in which the guide hole is located. According to the invention, a time for producing an implant placing guide is significantly shortened improving patient experience.
