A method and system are provided for manufacturing a physical dental model. A virtual model is provided representative of at least a portion of the intra-oral cavity including at least one dental implant implanted therein, and the virtual model includes a virtual portion representative of each dental implant. The virtual spatial disposition of each such virtual portion is determined with respect to the virtual model, corresponding to a real spatial disposition of the respective implant with respect to the intra oral cavity. A physical model is then manufactured based on the virtual model, the physical model including a physical analog corresponding to each implant at a respective physical spatial disposition with respect to the physical model corresponding to the respective virtual spatial disposition of the respective virtual portion with respect to the first virtual model as already determined. In some embodiments, a jig is provided configured for maintaining a desired physical spatial disposition between the physical analog and a cavity of the physical dental model at least until the physical analog is affixed in the cavity.

SUPPORT OF REMOVABLE COMPONENTS IN A TEETH MODEL MANUFACTURED BY MEANS OF CAM

A physical model of a set of teeth, wherein the physical model includes a gingival part in which a cavity comprising a cavity wall is formed; and a removable component having a part shaped as a tooth, where the removable component is configured for fitting into the cavity with a gap at an interface between the removable component and the cavity wall. The removable component or the cavity wall includes one or more supporting elements extending across the gap to establish contact between the removable component and the cavity wall to support and position the removable component in the cavity, and where contact between the removable component and the cavity wall at the interface only is provided by the supporting elements.

IMPRESSIONLESS DENTAL MODELING SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Dental systems and methods related to impressionless dental modeling. A dental modeling system includes a dental model base and a mounting plate. The dental model base includes a plate support surface and a plurality of pin receiving apertures formed in the support surface. The mounting plate includes a plate portion positioned on the plate support surface and a plurality of pins extending into the pin receiving apertures to provide removable attachment of the mounting plate to the dental model base. The plate portion includes a model support surface configured to support a model of a person's teeth. The model may be formed directly on the model support surface using an impressionless technique. The model may be formed separately using an impressionless technique and then bonded to the model support surface.

Components, system and method for making dentures in a single visit

Creating a denture by using the patient's mouth as an intra-oral articulator by use of an upper and/or lower dental impression tray for creating the impression of the edentulous mouth, the trays having platforms or support surfaces which magnetically hold a main frame therebetween. The orientation of the main frame is adjustable and lockable with respect to the lower tray all while within the mouth. Once the main frame is located and locked in place, artificial teeth formed with holding wax and a rearwardly extending fork are slid into a slot of the main frame and also locked. The wax holding the artificial teeth is then melted to integrate the teeth with formed respective upper and lower custom trays.

Preventing interference between tooth models
09536020 · 2017-01-03 · ·

Systems and methods are disclosed to prevent interference between two physical tooth models in a physical dental arch model by acquiring the coordinates of a plurality of points on the surfaces of each of the two physical tooth models and digitally representing the surfaces of each of the two physical tooth models by a mesh of points in three dimensions using the acquired coordinates. The meshes representing the surfaces of the two physical tooth models intersect at least at one point to form an overlapping portion. The method also includes calculating the depth of the overlapping portion between the two meshes to quantify the interference of the two physical tooth models.

MAXILLOMANDIBULAR REGISTRATION TRAY
20250213332 · 2025-07-03 ·

A maxillomandibular registration tray of the present invention includes a maxillary portion that can be fixed by adding material to the maxillary portion of a patient, a mandibular portion that can be fixed by adding material to the mandibular portion of a patient, and connecting portions that connect the inner surface of the maxillary portion and the inner surface of the mandibular portion to each other. The distance between the maxillary portion and mandibular portion is adjustable after separating the maxillary portion and mandibular portion. Therefore, the maxillomandibular registration tray first applies materials to the maxillary portion and mandibular portion to acquire maxillomandibular registration, and then separates the maxillary portion and mandibular portion to adjust the distance using screws to set the vertical height, establish the mandibular position, and add bite registration materials to the maxillary and mandibular tray space to finally acquire precise maxillomandibular registration.

Fastening channel through a dental restoration
12433721 · 2025-10-07 · ·

The invention relates to a method for a computer-implemented method for configuring a fastening channel through a dental restoration for fastening a retaining means retaining the dental restoration. The method comprises receiving a 3D digital restoration model of the dental restoration with an artificial tooth and a definition of an implant. A relative positioning of the dental restoration relative to the implant is determined. A position of the fastening channel extending from the implant through the artificial tooth is determined. In case the position of the fastening channel violating a set of one or more pre-defined positioning criteria. The position of the fastening channel is automatically adjusted by angulating the fastening channel such that the positioning criteria are satisfied.

DIGITAL TOOTH MODEL REPLACEMENT
20250366956 · 2025-12-04 ·

Disclosed is a method for replacing first three-dimensional digital tooth models by second three-dimensional digital tooth models. The method comprises receiving a three-dimensional digital anatomic model of an oral anatomic structure of a patient and the first three-dimensional digital tooth models arranged with respect to the three-dimensional digital anatomic model at tooth positions with tooth orientations. The first three-dimensional digital tooth models comprise first identifiers identifying the dental key structures. First three-dimensional digital tooth models are selected for a replacement. The selected first three-dimensional digital tooth models are replaced by the second three-dimensional digital tooth models.

Scanning Method and System of Scanning Rod, and Storage Medium
