DENTAL SYSTEM WITH BASELINE SO THAT DIGITAL THREE-DIMENSIONAL TEETH MODEL CAN BE COMBINED WITH ANATOMICAL LOCATION AND PLANE ANALYSIS OF HUMAN BODY
Disclosed is a dental system with a baseline so that a digital three-dimensional teeth model can be combined with an anatomical location and a plane analysis of the human body. The dental system includes an acquisition unit which is formed to be held by an anodontia patient or a partial anodontia patient in a mouth to acquire a tooth height or tooth distance of the anodontia patient or the partial anodontia patient, an analysis unit which is disposed at a maxillary landmark or a mandibular landmark of the anodontia patient or the partial anodontia patient to analyze an occlusal plane of the anodontia patient or the partial anodontia patient, and a control unit which is connected to the acquisition unit and the analysis unit, respectively to control the acquisition unit and the analysis unit to be modularized simultaneously or selectively. According to the present disclosure, since a digital three-dimensional teeth model required for design of a digital dental prosthesis required to anodontia patients having no teeth or partial anodontia patients is modularized with a baseline so as to be placed at an anatomically ideal location, the digital three-dimensional teeth model is formed to rapidly and accurately engage with the anatomically ideal location, thereby chewing and pronouncing well.
Bone foundation guide system with reduction guide
A bone foundation guide system for a dental implant surgical site has a bone foundation guide and a dental implant surgical guide with an open surgical space therebetween. The top of the foundation guide body is contoured and has an upper surface to attach a bottom surface of the dental implant surgical guide as well as to define a removal and augmentation level and to guide the removal and/or augmentation of bone segments from the dental surgical site via a separation plane. The separation plane has a central area predetermined to define an implant depth of bores for anchoring implants, and further has an inclined area extending from all side ends of the central area towards the first bridge end and the second bridge end raising above the removal and augmentation level of the jaw bone.
Aligner damage prediction and mitigation
Embodiments relate to an aligner breakage solution. A method includes obtaining a digital design of a polymeric aligner for a dental arch of a patient. The polymeric aligner is shaped to apply forces to teeth of the dental arch. The method also includes performing an analysis on the digital design of the polymeric aligner using at least one of a) a trained machine learning model, b) a numerical simulation, c) a geometry evaluator or d) a rules engine. The method may also include determining, based on the analysis, whether the digital design of the polymeric aligner includes probable points of damage, wherein for a probable point of damage there is a threshold probability that breakage, deformation, or warpage will occur. The method may also include, responsive to determining that the digital design of the polymeric aligner comprises probable points of damage, performing corrective actions based on the probable points of damage.
Method, system and computer readable storage media for the detection of errors in three-dimensional measurements
A method, system and computer readable storage media for defects in images during three-dimensional measurement of teeth. An operator may use a dental camera to scan teeth and a trained deep neural network may automatically detect portions of the input images having defects and generate output information regarding those defects for corrective measures to be taken.
LIP ENHANCEMENT DEVICE
A device for enhancing the appearance of a person's lips is formed from a curved member configured to fit between the person's upper or lower lip and an adjacent gum at the front of the mouth. The curved member has a gingival portion configured to be placed on the person's gums, a top surface and an extension connected to the top surface and extending from a longitudinal edge of the top surface to overlap and extend beyond the gingival portion. The extension is configured to rest against and evert the person's upper or lower lip when the device is placed between the lip and the person's gum.
Prosthodontic and orthodontic apparatus and methods
System and method for developing a treatment plan for achieving a treatment goal including creating a virtual model of a dental patient's dentition; transforming the virtual model of the dentition using virtual prosthodontics to facilitate achievement of the treatment goal; transforming the virtual model of the dentition using virtual orthodontics to facilitate achievement of the treatment goal; iterating on the transforming steps until substantially achieving the treatment goal; and generating an orthodontic treatment plan and a prosthodontic treatment plan based upon the substantially achieved treatment goal.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETERMINING A TOOTH TRAJECTORY
A method and a system for determining a tooth trajectory for a given tooth of a subject are provided. The method comprises: generating, by executing an optimization algorithm, based on a 3D model of the given tooth, a plurality of segments defining a tooth trajectory of the given tooth from its initial position to its target position. The executing comprises: determining, based on the stress values range, an initial force to be applied to the given tooth, the initial force causing a maximum displacement of the 3D model of the given tooth from the start position associated with the given segment towards the target position associated with the given tooth, thereby identifying an end position associated with the given segment. The method further comprises determining a respective force applied to at least one other 3D model by the maximum displacement of the 3D model of the given tooth.
Dental device designed to measure dental arch parameters, and develop an algorithm and method for determining ideal positions of dental implants in edentulous patients
The present inventions relate to dental medicine, specifically to restorative, prosthetic and implant dentistry. The proposed innovations are a system comprised of a dental measuring device, method and developed algorithm for measuring the alveolar process of jaws and structurally optimizing measurements to determine the ideal position for dental implants. The system identifies precise implant locations in consideration of jaw size, chosen number of dental implants, and the applied forces and movements in all directions (Six degree of freedom) generated by mastication in fully or partially edentulous patients.
PROCESSING DIGITAL DENTAL IMPRESSION
A computer-implemented method of processing a digital dental impression includes determining one or more first digital surface regions visible from a first side of the digital dental impression along an occlusion axis and one or more second digital surface regions visible from a second side of the digital dental impression along the occlusion axis, segmenting the digital dental impression into one or more digital segments and determining the one or more digital segments as a first digital segment or a second digital segment based on the majority of digital surface regions in the one or more digital segments.
