Conveyor system comprising a friction coefficient measuring device

In a conveyor system, a conveyor having a conveyor surface transports items. An optional lubricant dispensing device dispenses a lubricant composition on the conveyor surface. A friction coefficient measuring device measures a quantity proportional to the friction coefficient of the conveyor surface and provides a signal indicative for the measured quantity proportional to the friction coefficient. A control receives the signal indicative for the measured quantity. In one embodiment, the control provides a further signal when the measured quantity exceeds a threshold value or for regulating the lubricant amount to be dispensed based on the measured quantity in order to maintain the measured quantity proportional to the friction coefficient within a predetermined range.

In a conveyor system, a conveyor having a conveyor surface transports items. An optional lubricant dispensing device dispenses a lubricant composition on the conveyor surface. A friction coefficient measuring device measures a quantity proportional to the friction coefficient of the conveyor surface and provides a signal indicative for the measured quantity proportional to the friction coefficient. BELT CONVEYOR

A vehicle treatment system supports a continuous belt via a support system including an upper frame, grates disposed on the upper frame, and support plates disposed on the grates. The upper section of the belt travels along the support plates, with water and debris from the upper section passing through the gaps between adjacent plates. Collector trays are disposed below the gaps and above the lower section of the belt to collect water and debris that falls through the gaps. A rinsing manifold below one or more of the gaps projects rinsing fluid upwardly onto the underside of the upper section of the belt. Return rollers are disposed below the lower section of the belt, and are attached and removable from the frame structure without the use of tools. The upper frame may be galvanized, and may include separate attached stainless steel leg portions that are weldable.

BELT CONVEYOR

A vehicle treatment system supports a continuous belt via a support system including an upper frame, grates disposed on the upper frame, and support plates disposed on the grates. The upper section of the belt travels along the support plates, with water and debris from the upper section passing through the gaps between adjacent plates. Collector trays are disposed below the gaps and above the lower section of the belt to collect water and debris that falls through the gaps. A rinsing manifold below one or more of the gaps projects rinsing fluid upwardly onto the underside of the upper section of the belt. Return rollers are disposed below the lower section of the belt, and are attached and removable from the frame structure without the use of tools. The upper frame may be galvanized, and may include separate attached stainless steel leg portions that are weldable.

System and method for lubricating a conveyor

A conveyor lubricating system includes a lubricant feed line, a lubricant applicator including a lubricant flow regulator and a lubricant brush, and a cantilevered support arm including a first rigid member and a second rigid member connected together by a pivoting joint. The lubricant flow regulator is fluidly connected to the lubricant feed line and the lubricant brush is fluidly connected to the lubricant flow regulator. The lubricant brush includes bristles and a manifold to distribute the conveyor lubricant across a width of the lubricant brush. The first rigid member is secured to the lubricant applicator at an end opposite the pivoting joint and the second rigid member is secured to a stationary support such that the second rigid member is cantilevered over a conveyor and such that the lubricant brush contacts the conveyor. An associated method of applying conveyor lubricant to a conveyor is also provided.
