ROBOTIC SERVICE DEVICE AND HANDLING METHOD
20230257195 · 2023-08-17 ·

A robotic service device is described for use on a robotic picking system grid. The robotic service device is capable of driving to any location on the grid order to perform maintenance operations or cleaning. Additionally, the service device may be used to rescue robotic load handling devices operational in the picking system. The robotic service device may include a releasable docking mechanism to enable it to dock and latch on to malfunctioning load handling devices. The service device may also be provided with cleaning capability and a camera to enable the condition of the grid and other robotic devices to be monitored.

DUAL-SIDED CLEANING SUBSTRATE FOR MEDIA TRANSPORT DEVICE
20230256476 · 2023-08-17 ·

This document describes cleaning cards for cleaning the interior of media transport devices, methods of manufacturing such cleaning cards, and methods of using such cleaning cards. The cards include a first layer of a substrate having a cleaning sublayer and a base sublayer, along with a second layer having a cleaning sublayer and a base sublayer. The base sublayers are positioned against each other at a plurality of contact areas. A plurality of pockets within which the base sublayers do not contact each other are positioned between the base sublayers so that each pocket forms a raised cleaning element in each of the cleaning sublayers. Each of the pockets is bounded by one or more of the contact areas.

Modular slat conveyor belt

A slat conveyor belt includes connected drive modules that can be easily disassembled and assembled. Each drive module comprises a slat portion connected to a drive portion forming a drive chain. A conveyor frame for the conveyor belt includes a dust cover for the drive chain and a separator for selectively separating a slat portion from an associated drive portion. A magazine automatically removes and stores separated slats.

ASSEMBLY OF STATOR MODULES FOR A PLANAR DRIVE SYSTEM
20220131426 · 2022-04-28 ·

An assembly of stator modules for a planar drive system comprises a first stator module and a second stator module, The first stator module and/or the second stator module each comprise stator segments with a segment width, the stator segments being energizable, where the stator segments can provide a magnetic field in order to interact with the magnet arrangements of a rotor for driving and/or holding the rotor of the planar drive system. The first stator module and the second stator module are arranged spaced apart from each other and thereby form a gap, where the gap has a gap width, and where the gap width is smaller than or equal to the segment width.

Scraper system for belt conveyors and method for cleaning belt conveyors

A stripper system for belt conveyors. The system includes an adjustable, spring-mounted system support running transversely to the direction of travel of the belt conveyor, on which stripper blocks made from an elastomer are interchangeably secured next to one another. The system support is suspended on both sides of a tripper pulley by a support mounting so that the support system can rotate about a support axis of rotation, which impresses, by a spring device, a predefinable torque directed counter to the rotational direction of the tripper pulley. Such axis allows the system support to rotate such that it together with its stripper blocks can swing away. The spring device has an adjusting spring, a damper spring coupled thereto, and a spring bolt. Both springs are connected to the support mounting, and the spring bolt includes a section that initially actuates the damper spring when it is determined that the adjusting spring has travelled a prescribed distance.

Flash lamp system for disinfecting conveyors
11174107 · 2021-11-16 · ·

A flash lamp system provides flashes to a bottom side of a conveyor to disinfect the conveyor while the conveyor is transporting products on a top side of the conveyor. The flashes are provided to discontinuous segments of the conveyor such that a portion of the conveyor is treated with each revolution, but a controller causes the entire length of the conveyor to be disinfected over multiple revolutions. The controller can respond to changes in speed and detected levels of disinfection. The disinfection system can be used in many applications, such as the transporting of fresh or frozen food products.
