Systems and methods for dynamic processing of objects

A method of processing objects is disclosed using a programmable motion device. The method includes the steps of acquiring an object from a plurality of mixed objects at an input area, perceiving identifying indicia in connection with the object, assigning an intermediate station to a destination location for the object responsive to the identifying indicia in connection with the object, and moving the acquired object toward the intermediate station.

LOADER SYSTEM FOR LOADING PRODUCT INTO PACKAGING BOXES

A loader system (20) lifts/removes articles 22 from a supply conveyor (24) for placement into containers (26) disposed on a takeaway conveyor (28). The containers (26) may have a flap (30) that extends across the open top of the containers. The loader system (20) includes a 2D actuator (32) for loading the articles (22) received on the supply conveyor (24) into to containers (26). When the actuator (32) approaches the containers (26), the auxiliary linkage arrangement 100, operating independently of the actuator, tilts the articles (22) downwardly so as to pass beneath the flap (30), and then rotates the articles into horizontal orientation to set within the containers. A control system (40) controls the operation of the conveyors (24) and (28), as well as the loader system (20), to transfer the articles (22) from the conveyor (24) and into the containers (26).

Steep conveying installation for open-cast mining

The instant invention relates to a steep conveying installation for arranging on a slope of an open-cast mining glory hole, by means of which raw materials can be transported from a lower height level, in particular from a mining floor of the open-cast mine, to an upper height level, in particular formed by a soil, encompassing a line arranged on the slope. According to the invention, provision is made for a first conveying basket and for a second conveying basket, which conveying baskets can be displaced on the line between the lower height level and the upper height level and are embodied to receive the raw materials, wherein the conveying baskets are in contact with one another via at least one common traction means.

Feed unit

A feed unit, for example for feeding components (2) to smoking article assembly apparatus, having a stationary guide member (14) and a dispensing unit configured to dispense components (2) into the stationary guide member (14). The dispensing unit has one or more channels (7) to receive components (2) one on top of the other, and each channel (7) has a control gate (12) to apply suction/gaseous flow to control output of components (2) from the channel (7) for onward conveyance through the stationary guide member (14).

An unload stacking assembly includes a discharge hopper for receiving container closures from a conveyance assembly. A deflector deflects the container closures into the discharge hopper in a desired orientation, and a control system detects the container closures and operates a pusher assembly to control movement of the container closers. The conveyance assembly is disposed in a horizontal plane and the discharge hopper is disposed at a discharge angle with respect to the horizontal plane.
