TRANSFER MECHANISM FOR USE WITH A FOOD PROCESSING SYSTEM

A transfer mechanism for transferring food product from a compartment of a food processing system includes a conduit having a first end portion configured to be in communication with the compartment and a second end portion, a fluid discharge positioned substantially within the conduit between the first end portion and the second end portion, and a pressurized fluid source in communication with the fluid discharge. The pressurized fluid source is operable to propel a fluid through the fluid discharge to move the food product from the first end portion of the conduit toward the second end portion.

PUMP ASSEMBLY

A pump assembly comprising a housing, a support frame that can be attached to the housing, and a rotor that can rotate within the housing. The housing consists of resilient material and comprises an interior surface, an inlet portion including an inlet for fluid, an outlet portion including an outlet for the fluid, and a diaphragm portion. A housing-engaging surface area of the rotor will form a sealing interference contact with the interior surface, and a chamber-forming surface area of the rotor disposed radially inward from the housing-engaging surface area will form a chamber with the interior surface. When the rotor rotates within the housing as in use, the chamber can convey fluid from the inlet portion to the outlet portion. The diaphragm portion will bear against the chamber-forming surface as the chamber-forming surface travels from the outlet to the inlet, to prevent fluid passing from the outlet to the inlet and to expel the fluid from the chamber through the outlet portion. The support frame will be attached to spaced-apart portions of the housing, and will be sufficiently stiff to counter-balance the torque applied to the housing by the rotor.

APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING HORTICULTURAL PRODUCTS

An apparatus for processing horticultural products, pushed along a tank of a respective processing line by a fluid current, on which the horticultural products can float freely. The apparatus includes at least one floating alignment matrix, provided with a base platform, which in turn can be submerged at a predefined section of the tank, and with a plurality of mutually parallel partitions extended at right angles from the upper face of the platform and, when the platform is submerged in the predefined section, at least rise above the free surface of the predefined section. Each pair of adjacent partitions can be arranged along the movement direction of the fluid current, thus defines a respective channel for automatic forced alignment for the horticultural products, pushed toward the predefined section by the fluid current.

Developed to transport any products, whether industrialized or not, via streams, in different geographic regions. By means of a piping circuit (1) housing distributing stations (3), in suitable points in the region of installation are formed streams driven by hydraulic pumps (2) successively installed along the length of such circuit (1). The streams are provided with conveyor capsules (4) of any industrial objects or not, capable of being carried by these capsules (4). In this way, the piping circuit (1) can be installed so as to cover large a geographic area and, for its internal rapids, to promote the transport of goods of all kinds. For control on delivery, upon stop at the predefined distribution station (3), the corresponding conveying capsule (4) shall be identified by its electronic registration. These capsules (4), after being unloaded at their distribution stations (3), are returned to the circulation by the circuit (1) and so on, thus forming an unprecedented supply system for large geographical regions.
