HAY STACKING APPARATUS
An apparatus for stacking hay bales comprises a base frame securable to a motorized vehicle, a plurality of tines pivotally connected to the base frame extending to free distal ends, the tines defining locations therebetween spaced to correspond to a bale of hay and a push bar extending parallel to the base frame and movable between a retracted position proximate to the base frame to an extended position along the plurality of tines to push the hay bales from therebetween. In operation, the apparatus is used by passing at least two of a plurality of tines to each side of a hay bale, lifting the hay bale by a platform extending from a base of the plurality of tines and pushing the hay bales off the tines with the push bar.
Hide sorting systems and methods
Methods and systems for sorting hides are provided. In particular, one or more embodiments comprise a tanning control system that enhances the traceability of hides by capturing and utilizing data related to the unloading, tanning, sorting, and packaging of hides. Furthermore, one or more embodiments enable the tanning control system to improve efficiency by sorting hides based, at least in part, on data generated during prior tanning processes. Additionally, one or more embodiments facilitate the tanning control system in customizing the sorting and packaging of hides based, at least in part, on one or more hide characteristics and/or customer specifications.

Article stacking apparatus and machine learning apparatus
A machine learning apparatus of an article stacking apparatus observes, as a state variable representing the current environmental state, stacking status data indicating the stacking status of an article stacking area and article information data indicating information on an article to be stacked, and acquires, as label data, article placement data indicating a placement of the article in the stacking area. The machine learning apparatus learns article placement data in association with the stacking status data and the article information data using the state variable and the label data.

PALLETIZING CONTAINERS FOR CHARGING ELECTRONIC DEVICES CONTAINED THEREIN
A system and method palletize containers having electrical terminals for charging electronic devices packaged therein. First, a stacking pattern is determined on the basis of the sizes, shapes, and locations of electrical terminals on both the pallets and the containers to be stacked. These data may be read, for example, with a computer vision system that uses an articulating robotic arm, and may be encoded in a two-dimensional barcode on each pallet and/or container. Next, the robotic arm stacks the container so that its terminals make electrical contact with terminals on the pallet, or on a previously-stacked layer of containers. Then, the placement is tested to ensure that a good electrical connection exists vertically through the entire stack. Once the pallet is finalized, all electronic devices carried thereon may be simultaneously charged during transit or storage.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR GROUPING PACKAGES
A method and device for grouping packages into specified package groups in an interference-free and fault-free manner with a conveyor having multiple individually actuatable conveyors arranged one behind the other with an inlet-side and a discharge-side end. The packages are supplied to the conveyor device at the inlet-side end one after the other, and a control algorithm is carried out to interpolate and/or detect the position and/or the speed of each individual package. A target speed is determined for each individual package based on the detected and/or interpolated position and/or speed of the package. A target speed is determined for the individual conveyors to achieve the target speed for each package to set a specified distance to the leading and/or following package at the discharge-side end. The speed of the individual conveyors is controlled to the respective determined target speed for the conveyor.

PALLET BUILDING SYSTEM WITH FLEXIBLE SEQUENCING
An automated palletizer for building a mixed case pallet, the automated palletizer including a case infeed that feeds mixed cases to provide an input queue feed sequence of mixed cases. At least one pallet building robot communicably connected to the case infeed and configured to receive the mixed cases in the input queue feed sequence of mixed cases, and place the mixed cases according to and dependent on the input queue feed sequence of mixed cases so as to effect building the mixed case pallet at a predetermined substantially steady placement rate. A controller communicably connected to the case infeed and at least one pallet building robot, and being configured so as to generate a complete and stable mixed case arrangement plan that completes at least a predetermined whole part of the mixed case pallet and that describes a predetermined planned location and pose for each case.
