Balancing load among operational system zones
11377304 · 2022-07-05 · ·

Embodiments are directed to conveyor systems and methods for controlling induction of items within the conveyor systems. In one scenario, a conveyor control system implements a hardware sensor in a conveyor system to generate sensor readings regarding an operational status of a first zone in an operational environment, where the first zone is an area where orders are fulfilled. The conveyor control system receives sensor data from the hardware sensor of the conveyor system. The sensor data includes feedback information for controlling the conveyor system. The conveyor control system then evaluates the received sensor data to determine which conveyable items are currently in the first zone and, based on the evaluation, induces the conveyable items onto the conveyor for the first zone.

Systems and methods for processing objects including mobile matrix carrier systems

A storage, retrieval and processing system for processing objects is disclosed. The storage, retrieval and processing system includes a plurality of storage bins providing storage of a plurality of objects, where the plurality of storage bins is in communication with a bin conveyance system for moving selected storage bins to a storage bin processing location, a programmable motion device in communication with the bin processing location for receiving a selected storage bin from the plurality of bins, where the programmable motion device includes an end effector for grasping and moving a selected object out of a selected storage bin, and a plurality of destination bins in communication with the bin conveyance system for moving a selected destination bin from a destination bin processing location that is proximate the programmable motion device to the plurality of destination bins.

BULK FOOD DISPENSER AUTOMATION

A bulk food product gravity-feed dispenser includes a compartment configured to receive and store bulk food material. A valve separates the compartment from an outlet. The valve operates to open and close to selectively permit bulk food material to pass from the compartment through the outlet. An electromechanical motor is communicatively connected to a controller and mechanically connected to the valve. The controller operates in response to receipt of a dispense instruction input to produce a control signal to the electromechanical motor. The electromechanical motor operates to move the valve between a closed position and an open position to dispense a portion of the bulk food material.

SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUSES FOR CONTROLLING OBJECTS BEING UNLOADED FROM A STORAGE VEHICLE OR STRUCTURE

Systems, methods, and apparatuses for controlling objects being loaded or unloaded from a storage structure or vehicle, such as a trailer. In example embodiments, a plurality of parcels may be stored in or on a trailer that is attached to a cab of a delivery vehicle. Upon arrival at a deposit location, the trailer loaded with the one or more parcels may be removably secured to a an adjustable platform designed to be raised to a predetermined angle for unloading of the one or more parcels. Once the adjustable platform is raised to the predetermined angle, a plurality of adjustable dividing mechanisms may be configured to pivot, allowing for the movement of a controlled volume of the one or more parcels onto the receiving platform.

AUTONOMOUS DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR PACKING FOLDED LAUNDRY

Devices, systems, and methods for autonomously packing folded laundry articles into a container are described. A packing system includes a refillable cartridge, a queue conveyor having one or more folded laundry articles and stacks of folded laundry articles disposed thereon, at least one retractable conveyor loading end between the refillable cartridge and the queue conveyor for loading the folded laundry articles into the refillable cartridge, a driven lifter for selectively raising and lowering the into and out of the container, and a controller in operative configuration with processors and drives of all of the foregoing and one or more sensors detecting a fill height of the refillable cartridge. The refillable cartridge includes a removable receiving surface that moves from a closed position to an open position during loading of the folded laundry by the retractable conveyor and unloading of the folded laundry into the container.

A material placement method comprises: determining a target placement area, the target placement area being correspondingly provided with a target material storage apparatus; determining a movement track according to a current placement area and the target placement area; if each placement area which the movement track passes through is not reserved for occupancy, determining a material placement means according to a positional relationship between the movement track and the target material storage apparatus; placing a material in the target material storage apparatus according to the determined material placement means. During the material placement, the movement track is determined according to the current placement area and the target placement area, a determination is made as to whether each placement area which the movement track passes through is reserved for occupancy, and if no, the problem of collisions during the material placement is effectively avoided, and the safety of the material placement is increased. Also provided are a material placement control apparatus, a material placement device and a material placement system.

An example embodiment of the system, device and method of the present disclosure can provide for moving containers in and out of a service bay using a mechanized platform or trolley. In one example, a station can include a service bay and two lifting bays on opposite sides of the service bay. In one example, a trolley can ride on the tracks between the lifting bays. The trolley can hold two containers positioned side-by-side. In one example, a technician can work on a container placed under the service bay. At the same time, another container placed on the trolley in the lifting bay can be hauled away using a lift truck. The technician can instruct the trolley to move away the container under the service bay and replace it with another container located on the trolley.

Stacking storage arrangement and method for operating a stacking storage arrangement

A stacking storage arrangement having multiple container receiving spaces that are arranged in multiple rows and columns, wherein a loading space in which loading vehicles can be moved is arranged below the container receiving spaces. The operation of a stacking storage arrangement of this type is configured to be economical. For this purpose, each row is assigned a separate loading vehicle stopping position that is arranged outside of the container receiving spaces.

Loading system

A loading system includes one or more adjusting mechanisms configured to adjust a position of the container held by the container holder, a controller configured to control operation of the one or more adjusting mechanisms, a transfer mechanism configured to move a loadable object into a holding space of the container with the container held by the container holder to transfer the loadable object to the container, and one or more position detectors. The one or more position detectors are located to detect a relative position of a loadable object when the loadable object is held by the transfer mechanism and is in the holding space. The controller is configured to perform an adjusting control in which the position of the container is adjusted to place the container in a proper position with respect to the loadable object, the adjusting control being performed based on detected information from the one or more position detectors, and being performed during at least a portion of a process of transferring the loadable object by the transfer mechanism, and being completed before the loadable object becomes supported by the container.
