Method and apparatus to reduce volume occupied by dry particulate commodities during transportation or storage
A method and apparatus for increasing the specific weight of a dry particulate bulk commodity while said commodity is within a transportation vessel, using an array of pokers, these pokers equipped with the means of emitting lateral vibrations into the surrounding commodity and simultaneously creating an air flow through that dry commodity towards the nearest poker of the array.
Autonomous devices, systems, and methods for queuing folded laundry
Devices, systems, and methods for autonomously queueing a plurality of folded household laundry articles in a packing queue are described. A packing system includes a rotating platform configured to rotate a folded laundry article for directional placement in the packing queue, at least one packing queue platform receiving the folded laundry article into a packing queue disposed thereon, and a double ended conveyor. The double ended conveyor includes a retrieving end and a depositing end. The conveyor is configured to be mounted to a gantry for traveling along the length of the queue platform and cantilevering the retrieving end over the rotating platform for retrieving the folded laundry article and the depositing end over the packing queue platform for depositing the folded laundry article onto either a surface of the packing queue platform or another folded laundry article of the plurality of household laundry articles.

PROTECTION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CARGO IN A COMPARTMENT AND ROBOTIC EQUIPMENT THEREOF
A protection system and method for cargos in a compartment and a robotic equipment thereof, applied in the field of robotics, are disclosed. The system includes an inflatable mechanism and an airbag. The airbag is used for filling the space between the cargos and/or between the cargos and an inner wall of the compartment. The airbag includes an inlet. The inflatable mechanism is defined on a robot for inflating or deflating the airbag via the inlet. The protection system and method for cargos in a compartment and a robotic equipment thereof can improve the stability of the stacked cargos during the process of the loading and unloading of the cargos, and the stability of the cargos during transportation.
System and method for improving storage density
Embodiments herein describe a robotic pick and stow storage system with a built-in consolidation function that increases the storage density. The system can include a stowing robot, a consolidation robot, and individual containers. The stowing robot may pick an item, identify a free space in the container large enough for the item, and then place the item in the free space. The items placed in the container may have a space between it and a neighboring item or items (referred to herein as a stow buffer) due to uncertainties or inaccuracies in the stowing process. The embodiments herein describe a stow and consolidation action that reduces the stow buffers thereby providing additional space in the container for more items. The consolidation robot can tilt and vibrate the container such that the items move closer together thereby generating free space for additional items in the container.

AUTONOMOUS DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR PACKING FOLDED LAUNDRY
Autonomously operated systems and methods of packing unbound folded laundry articles are described. A system of stacking a plurality of folded laundry articles onto a receiving surface includes two or more side-by-side parallel extendable surfaces configured to extend at least one of independently and simultaneously, at least one sensor configured to detect a presence of one or more folded laundry articles on at least one of the surfaces, and a controller in operative communication with at least one drive of the two or more surfaces and the at least one sensor. The controller is configured to extend a loading end of at least one of the surfaces out upon receiving a signal from the at least one sensor, and retract the loading end to deposit the one or more folded laundry articles atop at least one of the receiving surface and one or more previously deposited folded laundry articles.
