Remote loading dock authorization systems and methods

Systems and methods for monitoring components of a loading dock station that implement a remote monitoring and authorization system are disclosed. The systems and methods can provide information regarding the status of various components of the loading dock station to a remote monitoring and authorization control unit, where a supervisor or the like is capable of reviewing real time information regarding the status of the components and progress through and adherence to a workflow protocol. The systems and methods can also provide for authorization requests to be sent to the remote monitoring and authorization control unit, such as requests to override certain components of the docking station. The user at the remote monitoring and authorization control unit can then grant or deny requests based on status information and other data provided at the remote monitoring and authorization control unit.

Traffic Safety Device Placement Apparatus
20210172135 · 2021-06-10 · ·

A traffic safety device placement apparatus that permits the placement of traffic safety devices with reduced labor requirements and increased safety measures. Traffic safety devices can be moved into or out of the roadway without the need for anyone being exposed to traffic and can be placed much more quickly than previously known devices.

Vehicle Leveler with Swing Gate

A vehicle leveler which includes a first portion with a leading edge and a trailing edge, the trailing edge is disposed further from the driveway than the leading edge. The leveler also includes a second portion with a leading edge and a trailing edge, the leading edge of the second portion is removably attached to the trailing edge of the first portion and the leading edge of the second portion is disposed further from the driveway than the trailing edge of the second portion. The second portion also includes an extension portion. The vehicle leveler has opposing side portions which have a top surface that forms a walkway. A safety barrier with two opposed gates is mounted adjacent to the vehicle leveler. The safety barrier when in an open position acts as a fall protection barrier for a user.

FOLDING RAMP

Disclosed are ramps. The ramps may include a frame and a traction surface. The frame may be attachable to a mounting surface. The frame may be adjustable from a collapsed state to a deployed state. When in the collapsed state the frame may be sized to be supported by the mounting surface. The traction surface may be supported by the frame. In the n the deployed state the frame and traction surface extend from the mounting surface and provide a transition from a tailgate to a ground surface

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATED DOCK STATION SERVICING
20210117930 · 2021-04-22 ·

An automatic dock servicing system can monitor status of dock stations and/or dock station components, analyze the status to determine whether it satisfies a service condition for one or more service actions and, when service conditions are satisfied, cause the corresponding service actions to be performed. In some embodiments, a control panel can track a number of trailer loading/unloading cycles at the dock station. When the number of cycles reaches a threshold for performing a service on the dock station, the control panel can automatically initiate the service action. Some service actions that can be initiated by placing a maintenance or part request, sending control signals to a control panel or to dock station components, and/or sending messages or providing remote controls to other personnel.

TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLED RECEIVING TUNNEL

Examples provide an adjustable, temperature-controlled receiving tunnel for receiving after-hours delivery of pallets or other items and/or providing temporary overflow storage of items. The receiving tunnel includes a set of cooling units and drop-down bulkheads creating temperature-controlled storage zones within the receiving tunnel. A guidance system provides instructions to a delivery truck driver connecting to the receiving tunnel. An extension device enables the tunnel to connect to a delivery truck which is unaligned with the end of the receiving tunnel. An autonomous pallet jack can autonomously move pallets from the delivery truck storage area into the interior of the receiving tunnel. A set of doors associated with the receiving tunnel can be locked or unlocked providing a pass-through tunnel into a receiving facility storage area for transport of pallets from the delivery truck into the storage area of the receiving facility.

Pedestrian-vehicle safety systems for loading docks

Pedestrian-Vehicle safety systems for loading docks are disclosed herein. An example safety system includes a first sensor to monitor a first area adjacent a dock, a bi-directional sensor to signal both incoming movement and outgoing movement of a vehicle relative to the dock, and an incoming sensor to signal only incoming movement of the vehicle relative to the dock. A signaling device is responsive to outputs of at least one of the first sensor, the bi-directional sensor, and the incoming sensor.

Methods and apparatus for monitoring a dock leveler

Methods and apparatus for monitoring a dock leveler are disclosed herein. One example dock leveler system for use at a doorway of a loading dock, where a body is sometimes present at the loading dock, includes a deck movable between a raised position and a lowered position. The example dock leveler system also includes a sensor having a field of view extending over the deck when the deck is in the lowered position. The sensor is in a normal state when the deck is in the lowered position while the body is off the deck, the sensor is in a triggered state when the deck is in the lowered position while the body is on the deck interrupting the field of view, and the sensor is in the triggered state when the deck is in the raised position with the deck interrupting the field of view regardless of whether the body is on or off the deck.

Telescopic plate

A telescopic plate includes a sliding rail structure (10), a rotation structure (20), a drive structure (30) including a motor (31), a circulation structure (40) including an upper connection member (41) and a lower connection member (42), and a support frame (50) mounted on the telescopic sliding rail. The sliding rail structure includes a fixed sliding rail (11) and a telescopic sliding rail (12); the rotation structure including a double-groove wheel (21) mounted at one end of the motor; the upper and lower connection members are wound on the double-groove wheel and extend into the fixed sliding rail to fix with the telescopic sliding rail; a positioning bolt (111) is provided on an inner wall at the tail end of the fixed sliding rail; a positioning groove (1211) is provided at the front end of the telescopic sliding rail; the upper and lower connection members pull the telescopic sliding rail to implement sliding of the support frame in the fixed sliding rail; the positioning bolt and the positioning groove are cooperative so that the telescopic sliding rail rotates around the positioning bolt. A motor is used for controlling to slide and rotate the support frame; a rotation angle can be adjusted by means of a remote-control operation so as to meet user requirements.
