Dental Restoration Molds

A custom tool for forming a dental restoration in a mouth of a patient includes a custom tool for forming a dental restoration in a mouth of a patient comprising: a mold body for a patient-specific, customized fit with the facial side and the lingual side of at least two adjacent teeth of the patient, and a flexible film, wherein the mold body is configured to combine with the flexible film to form a mold cavity encompassing missing tooth structure of at least one tooth to be restored.

Dental Restoration Molds

A tool for forming a dental restoration includes a mold body configured to combine with a tooth of a patient to define a mold cavity encompassing at least a portion of desired tooth structure of the tooth. In some examples, the portion of desired tooth structure defines an interproximal surface of the tooth. The mold body may include, in some examples, a base member configured to provide a customized fit with at least one tooth of the patient to attach the mold body to the at least one tooth, and an interproximal member extending from the base member and configured to be disposed between adjacent teeth of the patient when the base member is fit over the at least one tooth. The interproximal member defines a surface of the mold cavity.

Device and Method for Holding Prosthetic Teeth

The invention relates to a method for producing a dental prosthesis having the following chronological method steps:

a) a first, provisional dental prosthesis comprising at least one first prosthetic base (1) and several provisional prosthetic teeth (4) is produced, whereby data that indicate at least the 3-dimensional form of the occlusal surfaces (6) of the provisional prosthetic teeth (4) of the provisional dental prosthesis are stored as data record A or have already been stored as data record A

b) after subtractive occlusal processing of at least one of the provisional prosthetic teeth (4), at least the 3-dimensional occlusal surfaces (6) of the processed provisional prosthetic teeth (4) of the first dental prosthesis are determined, or the 3-dimensional surface of the first dental prosthesis is determined as a whole

c) data that indicate at least the 3-dimensional form of the occlusal surfaces (6) of the processed provisional prosthetic teeth (4) are stored as data record B

d) via a computer comparison of data record B with data record A, the differences in the forms of the provisional prosthetic teeth (4) before and after the subtractive occlusal processing are calculated and, from this, at least desired lengths for final prosthetic teeth (20) are calculated, and

e) final prosthetic teeth (20) are produced at least with the calculated desired length using a CAM method from virtual models of the final prosthetic teeth (20), whereby the desired length of the final prosthetic teeth (20) is set by a basal shortening of the virtual models of the final prosthetic teeth (20), and the final prosthetic teeth (20) produced in such a manner are firmly connected to the at least one first prosthetic base (1) or at least one second prosthetic base.

The invention further relates to a dental prosthesis produced with such a method.

Molds for custom dental implant abutments and impression posts

Molds for fabrication of custom and potentially modifiable abutments and impression posts for dental implants with various degrees of angulations (including zero degrees) and various dimensions are provided, with a generally oval shape that expands laterally upwards, a symmetrical or asymmetrical cross-section, and regular surfaces, that are fabricated as one piece, or as two coupling pieces snapping onto each other. Custom abutments achieve the development of a custom gingival emergence profile, three dimensionally, which is potentially modifiable according to the needs of each particular clinical case. Custom impression posts that correspond in dimensions and angulations to the abutments allow the accurate recording and transfer of the developed gingival emergence profile from the mouth onto the working cast, where the final implant prosthesis is fabricated. Custom abutments and impression posts have properties and design that allows their preparation and usage as temporary abutments for the cementation and support of temporary prostheses.

PROCESSING TARGET MOLD AND POST-SHAVING ITEM PRODUCTION METHOD

A processing target mold is usable to form, by molding, a processing target to be shaved by a shaving device. The processing target includes a hold portion held by the shaving device, a target portion to be formed into a post-shaving item, and a coupling portion coupling the hold portion with the target portion. A main body of the processing target mold includes a bottom member, an outer frame member extending upward from the bottom member, and a protruding member extending upward from a portion of the bottom member that is enclosed by the outer frame member as seen in a plan view. The main body includes an injection space enclosed by the bottom member and the outer frame member. A material is injected into the injection space. The injection space includes a hold space, a target space and a coupling space in which the hold portion, the target portion and the coupling portion are respectively formed by molding.
