Apparatus For In Situ Restoration Of Unconstrained Dental Structure
A dental restoration apparatus that eliminates time-consuming, labor-intensive steps conventionally needed to fabricate molds, and thereby facilitates dental restorations in a shorter time, while reducing the discomfort and embarrassment sometimes associated with provisional restorations, which includes an additive manufacturing apparatus (e.g., a 3-D printer) having a tool head (e.g., a print head) and a fixture for controlling the position of the tool head relative to the teeth of a patient, allowing fabrication of a planned dental structure directly on an existing dental structure.
HYBRID CERAMIC PROSTHESIS
Proposed is a hybrid ceramic prosthesis. Since the prosthesis is made of a novel hybrid ceramic material, the prothesis has a similar color and transmittance to natural teeth, minimizes tooth removal during preparation for placement of the prothesis, is securely attached to the target tooth by snap-fit fastening to prevent detachment of the prothesis and re-treatment caused by the prothesis detachment, and can be more conveniently applied to the patient than conventional prostheses, enabling an one-day-one-stop dental procedure, thereby reducing burden to patients. The prothesis is useful as a primary crown.
DENTAL IMPLANT POSITIONING
Methods, devices, systems, and series of appliances are provided for dental implant positioning. One method for positioning an implant with dental treatment includes determining an implant location based on a virtual model of an optimized dental occlusion, moving one or more teeth using a first number of a series of dental appliances, from a first orientation to a second orientation, the second orientation exposing the implant location, placing an implant at the exposed implant location using a landmark included in at least one of the series of dental appliances, repositioning one or more teeth using a second number of the series of dental appliances, from the second orientation to a successive orientation.
Apparatus and methods of making denture devices
The present application describes a method for designing and manufacturing a denture device for a patient. A method is described for designing a virtual denture and manufacturing a functional fitting replica denture from the virtual denture. An apparatus comprising a functional fitting replica denture is prepared having denture teeth having a fit substantially similar to the final denture. The methods and apparatus described herein reduce the number of visits required to manufacture the final denture.
HEAT MOLDABLE DENTURE HAVING AN EXPANDABLE PALATE
An apparatus comprises a universal fit, boil-and-bite denture that may be sold over-the-counter. The apparatus includes a first portion comprising a tooth and a second portion attached to the first portion, the second portion comprising heat moldable material. The second portion may be configured to be formed in a mouth of a user when the user bites down on the heat moldable material. A multilayered (e.g., three layered) denture includes an expandable palate. While a palate portion expands, deforms, or otherwise adjusts, a dental occlusion of the denture is maintained. The denture may be manufactured using injection molding or other layered manufacturing techniques.
HEAT MOLDABLE, MULTILAYER DENTURE
A universal fit, boil-and-bite denture may be sold over-the-counter. The denture includes a first portion that includes a tooth and a second portion attached to the first portion, the second portion comprising heat moldable material. The second portion may be configured to be formed in a mouth of a user when the user bites down on the heat moldable material. A multilayered (e.g., three layered) denture includes an expandable palate. When a palate portion expands, deforms or otherwise adjusts, a dental occlusion of the denture is maintained. The denture may be manufactured using injection molding or other layered manufacturing techniques.
CUSTOMIZED TEMPORARY VENEERS AND METHODS OF PROVIDING THE SAME
Customized temporary veneers that are configured to be temporarily installed in a customer’s mouth and provide a desired oral appearance thereto. The customized temporary veneers include a veneer body configured to extend across at least a portion of a target region of the customer’s mouth and including oral-facing and outward-facing surfaces. The oral-facing surface is configured support the customized temporary veneer relative to the target region by engagement with one or more vestibular surfaces within the target region. A plurality of oral features define at least a portion of the outward-facing surface and are configured to present the desired oral appearance. The methods may include obtaining a representation of the target region, selecting the plurality of oral features, and creating the customized temporary veneer, which includes forming the veneer body, shaping the oral-facing surface based on the representation, and providing the plurality of oral features to the outward-facing surface.
METHOD, SYSTEM AND USER INTERFACE FOR CREATING A DIGITAL DESIGN FOR USE IN MANUFACTURING A MOLDING-SHELL FOR A DENTAL RESTORATION
A method, a system and a user interface for generating a digital design for use in the manufacture of a molding-shell for a patient's teeth, where the molding-shell and the teeth together enclose a volume for forming a dental restoration, include obtaining a digital 3D representation of the patient's teeth, the digital 3D representation including a tooth part relating to one or more teeth for which the dental restoration is formed; obtaining a set of one or more digital teeth anatomies; arranging the set of digital teeth anatomies and the digital 3D representation according to a preferred relative arrangement; and generating the digital design where a first portion of the digital design is derived from the digital teeth anatomies and a second portion of the digital design is derived from the tooth part of the digital 3D representation.
DENTURE BITE RIM SYSTEM WITH REPLICA TEETH
A bite rim system includes a plurality of dental bite rims having a shape and size that is suitable for use in a human mouth. A plurality of anatomically correct replica teeth is constructed from wax, and also includes various tooth characteristics of different shapes, thicknesses, sizes and colors. A series of replica teeth are removably pre-mounted onto one or more of the bite rims in an anatomically correct pattern. The system also includes one or more replica teeth strips having a front facing surface with the image of one or more teeth imprinted thereon, and a back facing surface that is coated with an adhesive material for mating with one of the dental bite rims.
METHOD OF IMPLANTING DENTAL RESTORATION
In order to improve the reliability of a dental restoration, the present invention provides a method of implanting the dental restoration. The method includes a first operation in which a three-dimensional planning image is generated in which a scanning image overlaps and matches to a computed tomography (CT) image, a plurality of pieces of implantation information of implants are set along a dental arch in the three-dimensional planning image, and an implanting guide device is designed and manufactured, a second operation in which an alveolar bone is flattened by being guided by the implanting guide device, the implants are implanted, and a holder device including a holder abutment and a fixing bar is fixed to an upper side of the implant, a third operation in which a temporary denture is corrected to be occluded between upper and lower jaws to form a temporary mounting portion in which the holder device is inserted into an inner surface portion thereof, a fourth operation in which a corrected scanning image corrected to expose three-dimensional exterior information of the temporary mounting portion to the outside is obtained from a scanning image of the temporary denture, and the three-dimensional exterior information of the temporary mounting portion is replaced and swapped with a virtual holder device, and a fifth operation in which a mount part is formed in an inner surface portion on the basis of the virtual holder device, and an artificial tooth part is fixed to an artificial gum part to which a clip engaged with the fixing bar is fixed so as to manufacture a final dental restoration.
