A tool for forming a dental restoration includes a mold body configured to provide a customized fit with at least one tooth of a patient. In some examples, the mold body defines an aperture configured to align with a portion of a surface of a tooth. The aperture is sufficiently large to allow placement and flow of restorative material over the desired portion of the surface of the tooth to be restored. The mold body is configured to combine with the at least one tooth of the patient to define a mold cavity encompassing at least a portion of desired tooth structure of the tooth to be restored.

Dental appliance design aid
A positioning feedback tool for a dental appliance takes the form of a flexible appearance strip for simulating the appearance of an installed dental appliance on a patient wearer. Dental appliances, such as dentures, rest on the gums of a wearer as functional replacements of teeth. The flexible appearance strip has visual images of dental elements (teeth) for replacing the natural teeth, and depict the size, spacing and color of the dental elements in the finished appliance. Dental elements are affixed onto a foundation mold for resembling a natural row of teeth. The foundation mold receives an imprint of the gums of the wearer, and also receives the dental elements to define the placement of the dental elements. Prior to tooth placement in the foundation mold, the flexible appearance strip is disposed against the installed foundation mold so that the patient may visualize the appearance of the finished appliance.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING TEMPORARY DENTAL COVERINGS
A set of baseline stents of people's teeth of different sizes may be used for a process to create temporary dental coverings. A range of sizes of the baseline stents may range from a smallest size to a largest size. A measurement of a stone-based model formed from a mold taken of the patient's natural teeth and gums may be made using a measurement tool. The measurement may include measuring from a left-side tooth to a corresponding right-side tooth. In an embodiment, unique identifiers (e.g., “A”-“N”) may be given to each of the baseline stents, and the measurement tool may show an identifier when the measurement is made. The baseline stent may be used to augment the model used to form a patient-specific stent used to take an impression of the patient's prepped teeth. The temporary dental coverings may be sculpted, shined, and attached to the prepped natural teeth.
Fabrication And Installation Of A Dental Implant
A dental implant for supporting periodontal tissue and the supporting bone is provided. The dental implant includes an implant member with inner canal for insertion into a periodontal bone socket, and an anchoring assembly. The anchoring assembly includes a first fastening element and radially equidistant cylindrical members. The first fastening element engages the implant member within the hollow axial cavity. The root section includes through-holes for radially and forcibly sliding the cylindrical members through them. When the first fastening element apically advances within the hollow axial cavity, the cylindrical members generate an anchoring force to anchor the dental implant.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROPOSING AND VISUALIZING DENTAL TREATMENTS
A method, system and computer readable storage media for proposing and visualizing orthodontic treatments. A patient may use a mobile device such as a smart phone to quickly and inexpensively visualize an orthodontic treatment for misaligned teeth and overlay it on a 3D model of the face and jaw, with a depth sensor being used to detect depth information. The orthodontic treatment may also be visualized in an augmented manner for a clinician. 3D data of the orthodontic treatment may be used for further analysis or fabrication of a treatment appliance.

The present invention provides a digital dental prosthesis manufacturing method including a first step in which a three-dimensional work image is acquired, the three-dimensional work image including surface information on an inner side of an oral cavity and a target dental arch in which fixtures are placed and occlusion information between the target dental arch and an opposing dental arch; a second step in which a temporary digital dental prosthesis is designed and manufactured; a third step in which the manufactured temporary digital dental prosthesis is installed on the target dental arch; and a fourth step in which a virtual coupling groove, which corresponds to surface information on the corrected coupling region, is set in an inner surface profile, which is set according to surface information on the corrected temporary shape-matching surface that is included in the corrected scan image, and a final digital dental prosthesis is designed and manufactured.

A hygienically packaged composition that includes a base layer of a thermoplastic film, a covering film layer that is a heat sealable or pressure sealable adhesive liner that covers the hygienically packaged composition where the hygienically packaged composition is a dental composition, a food composition, or a medicine. The covering film layer includes a stretched dimple in a portion of the covering film layer proximate the hygienically packaged composition thereunder the covering film layer. There is typically a heat or pressure seal around each hygienically packaged composition.
Dental restoration devices and methods
Processes and devices for dental restorations employ molding tools that isolate individual tooth surfaces onto which dental composite material is to be applied and cured into individual cavities to prevent bonding of adjacent teeth. The processes and tools utilize matrix separators between teeth and a molding tool having matrix guide pockets that receive edges of the matrix separators to define the individual cavities.
