MODULAR CONVEYOR BELT WITH MOVEABLE HINGE ROD RETAINER

A conveyor belt module (20) includes a movable hinge rod retainer (220) that can be opened and closed without tools. The movable hinge rod retainer facilitates opening and rejoining of the conveyor belt (100) at one or more dedicated locations. In a first position, the hinge rod retainer locks a hinge rod (130) withing a hinge rod passageway. A user can easily move the hinge rod retainer to a second position in which the hinge rod passageway is open to allow removal of the hinge rod.

Modular conveyor, conveyor module and method of coupling modules of a conveyor

A modular conveyor, comprising a plurality of modules successive in transport direction, each comprising a body part with a transport surface for transporting products thereon, which body part during use is hingedly coupled via a hinge pin to the body part of a successive module. The successive modules are adjustable from an assembly position to an operative position. In the working position the hinge pin can be introduced from outside of the body parts into a receiving space formed by the successive modules or can be taken out of that receiving space to outside of the body parts due to that the hinge pin is released by the body parts to move in longitudinal direction and/or transverse direction of its longitudinal axis. In the operative position the hinge pin is retained in the receiving space formed by the body parts of the successive modules due to that the movement of the hinge pin both in longitudinal direction and in transverse direction of its longitudinal axis is limited by the body parts.

The invention relates to a driving end module of a modular conveyor belt, the driving end module having an elongate body with an arrangement of interspaced fingers on opposed sides along the length of the body. Each interspaced finger includes a transverse aperture which defines a link path through the transverse apertures into which a rigid rod can be inserted through an installation aperture to link two adjacent conveyor belt rows to each other and provide a conveyor belt section. The driving head also includes a socket located between the installation aperture and the link path which is shaped to receive a plug to prevent the rigid rod from sliding through the installation aperture. The driving end module further includes a terminal driving head having a positive drive protrusion which in use engages a vertically extending ridge of a rotating drive tower.

A conveyor belt is provided that includes a first lateral end, a second lateral end, a plurality of rods, and a plurality of links. The plurality of rods are spaced apart from one another and each extends from the first lateral end to the second lateral end. The plurality of links interconnect the plurality of rods and include a first link coupled to two adjacent rods of the plurality of rods at the first lateral end. The first link includes a tail that extends laterally outward past an outermost portion of the plurality of rods.

A system for moving discrete articles comprising a system for fixing push rods to the chain comprising: two opposite sides (20) that support a conveyor plane (21); two chain holder guides (22), opposite and fixed to said sides (20); two chains (23) with links with protruding pins (24) sliding inside said two chain holder guides (22); push rods (25) fixed in a removable manner, transversally to said conveyor plane (21), to said pins (24) of said chain (23); characterized in that it comprises: blocks (30) having a central hole (31) designed to slide with friction over said push rods (25); said blocks (30) having a pair of holes (32), lateral to said central hole (31), designed to slide with friction over said pins (24).

Conveyor chain module

Coupling of conveyor belt modules A module (2) for a modular conveyor chain, comprising a link portion (3) made of sheet metal that includes a substantially elongate conveying body (4), the conveying body having a central hinge loop (5A) on one longitudinal side thereof and a pair of offset hinge loops (5B) on an opposite longitudinal side thereof that are interspaced to receive the central hinge loop of a link portion of a consecutive module therebetween. The central hinge loop and/or or the offset hinge loops are distanced with their free end(s) from a bottom face of the conveying body to form a through pass aperture (16) through which a hinge pin (12) held in the hinge receiving space(s) of the hinge loops of other module may pass transversely to its axis into or out of its hinge receiving space.

CONVEYOR CHAIN WITH ADJUSTABLE LINK PINS

A conveyor chain having links joined by link pin biased into any of multiple operating positions with its positioning head blocked against rotation by engagement with a detent on a positioning link. The pin can be lifted so that its head is above the level of the detent, rotated to a new operating position, and allowed to be biased back into its position with the head again blocked against rotation by the detent, whereby the wear surface of the pin can be changed to accommodate for chain wear occurring when a link rotates relative to the link pin.
