A sorting system for a conveying apparatus is disclosed. A conveying platform of the conveying apparatus includes turning driving devices disposed side by side at a branching position on the article conveying path, and each turning driving device includes a directional motor, and a wheel hub motor module and a driving device disposed above and below the directional motor, respectively. When the article conveyed by the conveying platform enters the branching position, a control module outputs and transmits control signals to the directional motors and the wheel hub motor modules, and a rotation shaft drives a fixing frame of the wheel hub motor module to horizontally turn to a preset angular position, and the wheel hub motor module drives a roller to vertically rotate to drive the article to convey to a predetermined position along a preset path, so that a sorting operation can be completed quickly.

PARCEL TRANSFER SYSTEM

A parcel transfer system transfers a parcel or a similar article directly between a conveyor and a self-driving vehicle (SDV) while the conveyor and SDV are moving. The conveyor, SDV, or both may be configured to initially transport a parcel in a first direction of travel and then subsequently offload the parcel in a second direction of travel. The SDV is configured to travel alongside of the conveyor in the first direction of travel and either receive the parcel as it is offloaded from the conveyor or offload the parcel onto the conveyor in the second direction of travel. The parcel transfer system further includes a vision and control subsystem, which regulates movement of the SDV and offloading of the parcel from the conveyor or SDV.

An example conveying module include a frame and an item transport plate that supports one or more items received thereon. The conveying module further includes a conveying drive motor supported by the frame and operably coupled to the item transport plate. The conveying drive motor causes rotation of the item transport plate about the conveying drive motor. The conveying module further includes a tilt adjustment mechanism that adjusts a tilt direction of the item transport plate relative to the frame. The conveying module also includes, in some instance, a tilt drive mechanism that controls operation of the tilt adjustment mechanism.

Modular conveying unit

A conveying unit for a superordinate conveying system for transporting goods on a transport plane. The conveying unit has transport rollers, drive devices, at least one adjustment apparatus and a control unit. The transport rollers rotate about axes at an actuatable rotational speed and with an actuatable direction of rotation. The drive device can be actuated to drive the transport rollers. The axes of rotation of the transport rollers can be actuated about their respective pivot axes by their own pivot axis angle and can be adjusted by rotation. The adjustment apparatus can be actuated to adjust the axes of rotation of the transport rollers about their respective pivot axes. The control unit actuates the conveying unit, and the conveying unit additionally has a connection apparatus for connecting the conveying unit to the superordinate conveying system.
