The transport device (100) comprises at least one chain (1) to which measuring marks (4) are attached, an electrical drive system (20) for driving the chain (1) with a servo motor (25) and an absolute encoder (21), a plant control unit (30) and a measuring sensor (11) for detecting the measuring marks (4) with a switching frequency of greater than 2000/s. The plant control unit (30) comprises a first input (34) for receiving measurement data from the measuring sensor (11) and a second input (35) for receiving position data from the position sensor (21) and is designed to receive data from the measuring sensor (11) and from the position sensor (21), to mutually correlate said data correctly with respect to time, to determine therefrom lengths between measurement marks (4), more particularly between two consecutive measurement marks, and to produce a signal which provides information about the quality of the chain. A servo position actual value is ascertained by means of oversampling. (FIG. 2)

Conveying device and carriage for conveying device

The invention relates to a conveying device comprising at least one movable carriage on which at least one first group and at least one second group of track rollers are disposed, and a track rail disposed so as to be locationally fixed for guiding the carriage. The track rail has at least one track face, at least one straight portion and at least one curved portion. The track rollers are configured in such a manner that during movement of the carriage along the straight portion, exclusively the track rollers of the first group roll on the track face assigned to the straight portion, and during movement of the carriage along the curved portion, exclusively the track rollers of the second group roll on the track face assigned to the curved portion. The invention furthermore relates to a further conveying device and corresponding carriages, as described herein.

Conveyor pan

A conveyor pan for a chain scraper conveyor comprises a bottom plate and a pair of side profiles fixed to the bottom plate by welding. The conveyor pan has an increased wear resistance, in particular due to a specific geometry of a weld groove formed between the profile rails of the side profile and the bottom plate. The weld groove extends deeper into each profile rail, resulting in a more durable weld connection during use of the conveyor pan. In addition, a geometry of a pocket member for connecting adjacent conveyor pans and an inspection opening formed in the bottom plate have also been improved to result in an increased strength of the conveyor pan.

Wear liners

The present invention relates broadly to a wear liner module (10) for equipment in a high wear environment, said module (10) comprising a back plate (12) and a wear liner (11) including one or more tiles (14a) to (14f) formed of wear resistant material, and one or more sensors such as (16a) mounted to the wear resistant tile such as (14a). The wear sensor (16a) is mounted to a perimeter face of the corresponding wear resistant tile (14a). The wear sensor (16a) is electrically coupled to a microprocessor mounted to a rear face of the tile (14a). The microprocessor is configured to process data received from the wear sensor (16a) to provide a wear signal represented of wear in the wear sensor (16a). The microprocessor (24a) transmits the wear signal to a wireless receiver (34a) mounted to the backing plate (12).

Modular chute system

A modular chute system for providing safe convenient access to an inside cavity of the chute system from a variety of locations to enhance safer serviceability features a chute channel formed from a plurality of chute sections. Each chute section is formed from a plurality of rigid structural panels. An edge flange is disposed on each panel edge encompassing an entire panel outer periphery, and the edge flange of one panel is connected to the edge flange of another structural panel. Upon removal of a structural panel or set of adjacent structural panels, the chute channel is self-supporting and non-collapsing. Chute serviceability, such as replacement of interior liners or panels, can be accomplished by removing panels and replacing liners without entering the chute cavity.

Conveyor Belt Wear Monitoring System
