The invention relates to a method for computer-aided planning of a repair or adjustment of a dental partial prosthesis with the following method steps: generation of a first digital 3D model of a jaw with the partial prosthesis positioned on the jaw as a prosthesis reference model (M1), generation of a second digital 3D model of the jaw, without the partial prosthesis, as a jaw model (M2), determination of a positional relationship of the prosthesis reference model (M1) to the jaw model (M2), generation of a digital prosthesis model (P) by subtracting the jaw model (M2) from the prosthesis reference model (M2) while taking the positional relationship into account, automatic identification and/or identification carried out by a user of holding and/or support elements (3) in the prosthesis model (P), calculation of an insertion axis (4) of the partial prosthesis on the basis of the prosthesis model (P), calculation of undercut depths, resulting from the insertion axis (4), of the holding and/or support elements (3) in the prosthesis model (P), display of the insertion axis (4) and the undercut depths in the presentation of the jaw model (M2).

A method for forming an integrated or repaired dental framework is disclosed. Portions of dental framework formed of a polymeric material are provided with a male member on a joint surface of one portion and a female member on a joint surfaces of second portion, with the male and female members arranged to mate together to hold the portions together at the joint surfaces and then welded together by ultrasonic welding. Integrated dental frameworks formed by the method using sequential moulding of portions of a patient's mouth are also disclosed. Apparatus and methods for forming a dental prosthetic item such as a portion of such a framework, or a repair piece, by injecting a flowable thermoplastic composition into a mould under pressure, are also disclosed.

A dental powder/liquid material-containing preparation accommodation bag, which suppresses entrainment of air in mixing a powder material and a liquid material for dispensing, is provided. A powder material 8 is accommodated in a powder material accommodation chamber 3 of a bag body 2, while a liquid material 9 dissolving the powder material 8 and changing into a pasty form, in cooperation with the powder material 8 is accommodated in a liquid material accommodation chamber 4 partitioned from the powder material accommodation chamber 3 by a weakened section 7. The weakened section 7 is ruptured by applying a pressing force to the bag body 2. As a result, the powder material accommodation chamber 3 and the liquid material accommodation chamber 4 communicate, to feed the liquid material accommodated in the liquid material accommodation chamber 4 into the powder material accommodation chamber 3. Then, the powder material 8 and the liquid material 9 changing into the pasty form are pressed within the powder material accommodation chamber 3 from the surfaces of the bag body 2 for dispensing.

Dental devices and systems and methods for making dental devices are described herein. In some embodiments, denture base material may be adapted to fit a model of a patient's mouth, and a pre-set arch of denture teeth may be adjusted the model. The pre-set arch may be impressed into the denture base material to create a channel. In some embodiments, the cure may be a partial cure and/or a releasing agent may be used such that the pre-set arch may be removed, if needed for further adjustments, after assessing the fit of the denture device. If the fit is correct, another cure may be performed to finish the denture device. If the fit is incorrect, a new bite registration and/or adjustments to the denture base material and/or pre-set arch of denture teeth may be made.

The present invention to a method of denture manufacture that incorporates CAM-formed zirconia teeth or zirconia tooth segment members, resulting in a natural fit, feel, and wear essentially equivalent to the wear properties of natural teeth, with wear and durability properties superior to dentures known in the art.
