A warehousing system for storing and retrieving goods disposed in containers is provided. The system includes a multilevel storage array including an array of storage shelves for holding containers thereon, at least one substantially continuous lift for transporting containers to and from at least one level of the storage array, at least one transport vehicle located on the at least one level and configured to traverse a transport area transporting containers between the at least one continuous lift and container storage locations so that the at least one continuous lift communicates non-deterministically, via the transport vehicle, with storage locations of each of the storage shelves on the at least one level, an infeed transport system linked to the at least one continuous lift, an and order fulfillment station for generating order containers corresponding to customer orders where the order containers are entered onto the storage shelves of the storage array.
MULTIPLE SPEED CONVEYOR STORAGE SYSTEM
Disclosed are various embodiments for a multiple speed, multiple conveyor storage system for items in a materials handling facility such as a fulfillment center. In one embodiment, the item storage system includes a first conveyor configured to operate at one speed, a second conveyor configured to operate at a different speed, and a transfer device configured to transfer items between the conveyors. The conveyors are each configured to store items in motion in a circuit arrangement.

Multiple speed conveyor storage system
Disclosed are various embodiments for a multiple speed, multiple conveyor storage system for items in a materials handling facility such as a fulfillment center. An item storage system includes a first conveyor configured to operate at one speed, a second conveyor configured to operate at a different speed, and a transfer device configured to transfer items between the conveyors. The conveyors are each configured to store items in motion in a circuit arrangement. A computing device determines a predicted time at which the item is predicted to exit the item storage system and then initiates a transfer of the item between conveyors via the transfer device by the predicted time.

Order delivery system and method
A system for automatically delivering an order to a pick-up location outside a building. Such a system includes: pouches adapted to receive a bag, associated with the control; a device for signalling and/or detecting presence of a customer in the vicinity of a pick-up location; and a height-mounted transport module, which includes: a suspension element for suspending the pouches from a travel track, the suspension elements being moved automatically on the track; and an actuator to displace the pouches in which the different parts of the order have been deposited, to the pick-up location when the device for signalling and/or detecting emit a signal confirming the presence of the user in the vicinity of the pick-up location.
WAREHOUSING SYSTEM, WAREHOUSING SCHEDULING METHOD AND WORKSTATION
A warehousing system includes a plurality of movable carriers, at least one workstation, at least one automatic transport device and a control device. The control device is configured to: acquire a future order; determine a first hit container and a first hit carrier according to the future order; and determine a first hit container to be placed in a temporary storage section as a temporary storage container, and determine a workstation of the warehouse system to receive the temporary storage container as a temporary storage workstation. The automatic transport device is configured to transport at least one first hit carrier storing the temporary storage container to the temporary storage workstation. The temporary storage workstation includes a container handling device, and the container handling device is at least configured to transfer the temporary storage container on the at least one first hit carrier to the temporary storage section.
