The drive device includes a motor which generates power, a brake configured to brake a movement generated by the power of the motor, and a speed reducer which has an output shaft connected to a driven portion of the container transporting device, includes a lubricant enclosed therein, and is configured to decelerate the power of the motor and transmit the decelerated power to the output shaft, in which the speed reducer, the brake, and the motor are disposed in this order from above in a vertical direction, a first seal member configured to block the lubricant is provided between the speed reducer and the brake, and the brake includes an accommodation chamber which accommodates a leaked lubricant in a case where the lubricant enclosed in the speed reducer leaks past the first seal member.

A container conveying device includes a contact support portion which comes into contact with one side surface of a container, a star wheel, a contact support portion which comes into contact with the other side surface of the container, and a holding wheel provided to be relatively rotatable with respect to the star wheel. When the container is not located at a container inspection position, the container conveying device conveys the container while maintaining a posture of the container by bringing the contact support portion into contact with the container, and when the container is located at the container inspection position, the container conveying device separates the contact support portion which comes into contact with the surface of the container. The container is released from the contact support portion at the container inspection position while the star wheel is paused.

Conveyor systems and methods of controlling moving stage

A conveyor system includes a moving stage, a track, a control circuit and a driver. The moving stage has a plurality of magnets and an optical scale. The track carries the moving stage and includes a first work area provided with a plurality of Hall sensor modules and a second work area provided with the Hall sensor modules and a read head module. When the moving stage is in the first work area, the Hall sensor module generates a first sensing signal. When the moving stage is in the second work area, the Hall sensor module generates the first sensing signal and the read head module generates a second sensing signal. The control circuit determines the position of the moving stage based on the first sensing signal and the second sensing signal, and generates a driving signal. The driver drives the coil windings according to the driving signal.

A method of actuation for a linear motor conveyor system, the method including providing a sidecar with a sidecar linkage connecting the sidecar to a main body of a moving element; and independently moving the sidecar and/or the main body relative to each other such that the sidecar linkage provides energy to an actuator provided to the moving element.

A system and method for providing power to a plurality of moving elements in a transport system that include: tracking a position of each of the plurality of moving elements in the transport system; and selectively operating a power system provided to the transport system based on the position of each of the plurality of the moving element such that power is independently transferred to each of the plurality of moving elements. In another embodiment, the system and method include: adapting the plurality of moving elements to receive power from a drive component used to drive the plurality of moving elements along the transport system; and controlling the drive component to provide power to the plurality of moving elements, and, in particular, while the moving elements are moving.
