Device and method for aligning blanks in a magazine holding a number of blanks, and an apparatus and method for fetching a blank from a magazine holding a number of blanks
The invention relates to a device (1) and method for aligning blanks (2) in a magazine (3) holding a number of blanks (2), each blank (2) being a sleeve shaped piece of packaging material folded planar. The device (1) comprises a plate element (4), and a vibrating means (5) connected to said plate element (4) to vibrate said plate element (4) in relation to said magazine (3), such that said plate element (4) comes into contact with an edge of any unaligned blanks in said magazine in order to align said unaligned blanks. The invention also relates to an apparatus (100) and method for fetching a blank (2) from a magazine (3) holding a number of blanks (2).
ANTI-ROTATION DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
A device for reducing rotation of an article during singulation of a stack of articles is disclosed. The device may include a torsion element, a rotatable member configured to rotate about an elongated axis of the torsion element between a first position and a second position, and a revolving member coupled to the rotatable member. An outer surface of the revolving member contacts a drive belt in the first position and an article in the second position. The torsion element exerts torque on the rotatable member when it moves from the first position towards the second position. The torque causes the outer surface of the revolving member to apply a frictional force to the article, thereby minimizing rotation of the article. Systems and methods of singulating articles are also disclosed.
MEDIUM SUPPORT DEVICE AND READING DEVICE
A second right-side extension portion entirely overlaps with a first right-side extension portion in a stored state when viewed in a depth direction, and a second left-side extension portion entirely overlaps a first left-side extension portion in a stored state when viewed in the depth direction. Moreover, a right-side gear is provided so as to be located between a right-side first end portion and a right-side second end portion of the first right-side extension portion, and a left-side gear is provided so as to be located between a left-side first end portion and a left-side second end portion of the first left-side extension portion.

Mail processing system with increased first and second pass sorting speed
A mail processing system utilizes a conveyor to shingle or de-shingle mailpieces as they move through the processing system and utilizes belts to move the mailpieces. A first shingling conveyor moves a first mailpiece to overlap with a second mailpiece to create shingled mailpieces. A second shingling conveyor moves a first mailpiece away from a second mailpiece to de-shingle them to create singulated mailpieces. A camera takes images of the mailpieces in the conveyor and image analysis software is used to determine dimensional aspects of the mailpieces that are used to control the belt speeds to move mailpieces with respect to each other. A mail processing system may include a mail processing station that scans addresses, applies postage and/or weighs the mailpieces. Mail may be de-shingled prior to being weighed and then re-shingled for subsequent processing, or mail may be shingled prior to passing through a scale if weighing is not necessary.
SHEET HANDLING DEVICE
A sheet handling device includes: a first storage; a second storage using a storage method different form that of the first storage; a transporter that transports a sheet; and a controller that controls the transporter to transport the sheet. When the second storage is neither a transport source of the sheet nor a transport destination of the sheet, the controller controls the transporter to transport the sheet at a first speed. When the second storage is at least the transport source of the sheet or the transport destination of the sheet, the controller controls the transporter to transport the sheet at a second speed lower than the first speed.
Medium conveying apparatus
A medium conveying apparatus includes a first conveying path, a second conveying path that is connected to the first conveying path, a third conveying path that is connected to the first conveying path and the second conveying path, and a skew corrector that blocks a first space between the first conveying path and the second conveying path when a medium conveyed along the first conveying path is skewed, and retreats from the first space when the medium is not skewed, wherein the skew corrector retreats from a second space between the second conveying path and the third conveying path when blocking the first space, and blocks the third space between the first conveying path and the third conveying path when retreating from the first space.
Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus includes a housing having a feeding port through which a medium is introduced into the housing, a feeding tray for supporting the medium fed through the feeding port, and a rotary damper configured to generate torque, in which the feeding tray includes a rotation shaft about which the feeding tray is rotatable, relative to the housing, between a close position at which the feeding tray holds the feeding port in a close state and an open position at which the feeding tray holds the feeding port in an open state, and the rotation shaft and the rotary damper are interlocked with each other.
Sheet accommodating device and image forming apparatus
A sheet accommodating device includes a housing; a sheet accommodating portion configured to accommodate a sheet and detachably mountable in the housing, the accommodating portion including, a supporting member supporting the accommodating portion so as to be rotatable relative to the housing, a movable member movable relative to the supporting member along the supporting member, a first urging member urging the movable member in a moving direction of the supporting member, a regulating member movable in a direction crossing with the moving direction of the movable member, and a second urging member urging the regulating member so as to protrude it from the movable member. The housing is provided with an engageable member engaged with the regulating member.
TRADING CARD IDENTIFICATION AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, AND RELATED METHODS OF USE
Trading card inventory management systems and related methods of use are described. These systems may include singulators, card translocators that pass cards from a receiver to storage, and back to the receiver, card chutes, and card guides. A card box system of storage and translocation is also described.
