Biased anti-rotation device and method of use
A device for reducing rotation of an article during singulation of a stack of articles is disclosed. The device may include a torsion element, a rotatable member configured to rotate about an elongated axis of the torsion element between a first position and a second position, and a revolving member coupled to the rotatable member. An outer surface of the revolving member contacts a drive belt in the first position and an article in the second position. The torsion element exerts torque on the rotatable member when it moves from the first position towards the second position. The torque causes the outer surface of the revolving member to apply a frictional force to the article, thereby minimizing rotation of the article. Systems and methods of singulating articles are also disclosed.
MEDIUM CONVEYING APPARATUS
A medium conveying apparatus includes a conveyance guide that is supported by a frame so as to be able to be lifted and lowered, and guides a medium to a conveyance path by sliding along one surface of the medium, a conveyance roller that is rotatably supported by the frame, and conveys the medium by coming into contact with an other surface of the medium, the other surface being on the reverse side of the one surface, and a pinch roller that is supported by the frame so as to be able to be lifted and lowered, and presses the medium against the conveyance roller by coming into contact with the one surface of the medium, wherein the conveyance guide lifts or lowers the pinch roller relatively to the frame, by being lifted or lowered relatively to the frame.
Medium feed apparatus and recording apparatus
A medium feed apparatus includes a first support face and a second support face. The first support face supports a medium fed by a feed unit that feeds medium by supporting such that the medium adopts an inclined orientation. The second support section is positioned upstream of the first support face in a feed direction, and supports the medium together with the first support face. The second support face is at a position set back from the first support face, and an angle of inclination from a lower end portion to an upper end portion of the second support face is steeper than an angle of inclination of the first support face.

Mail processing system and method with increased processing speed
A mail singulator system determines a position of an optical panel to automatically adjust a loading conveyor speed to prevent stacked and overlapped mailpieces in the singulator and large gaps between mailpieces. The optical panel is configured between the front mailpiece of a mail stack on the loading conveyor and the optical sensor. The optical panel changes position with the pressure exerted by the mail stack and provides signals to the controller to adjust the conveyor speed. An optical sensor may detect a far threshold position or limit distance to increase the speed of the conveyor and may detect a near threshold position of limit distance to reduce the speed of the conveyor. The optical panel may have a low friction surface to allow the mail to slide into the conveyor and an optical surface to allow reliable optical sensor detection of the optical panel position.
Media Drawer For A Media Processing Device And Media Processing Device
The application relates to a media drawer for a media processing device with a housing and an electrically-driven lift table arranged in the housing, where the media drawer is movable between a first position, in which the media drawer is arranged in the media processing device in such a manner that media can be removed from the media drawer by the media processing device, and a second position, in which media can be inserted into the media drawer, where the lift table can be supplied with power in the first position by the power supply of the media processing device. Further, the media drawer can exhibit a power supply that is independent of the power supply of the media processing device, via which the lift table can be provided with power in the second position.
APPARATUS FOR PACKING ARTICLES AND COMPRISING A DEVICE FOR COUNTERACTING WINDING UP OF FILM
Disclosed herein is an apparatus for packing articles as well as a device for counteracting winding up of film or web material for an apparatus for packing articles, the packing being formed by at least one web material conveyed over at least one pulling roller, wherein the device for counteracting winding up is disposed in relation to the pulling roller and extending at least partially around the pulling roller, whereby is achieved an easy, secure and functional device that efficiently counteracts and obviates the possibility of web material being wound around a pulling roller.
Sheet conveyor and image recording apparatus
A sheet conveyor includes a tray and a body supporting the tray. The tray is pivotable about a first shaft between a first position at which a free end of the tray is located above its basal end and a second position at which the free end is located farther from the body than at the first position. The tray is slidable between the second position and a third position and pivotable about a second shaft between the third position and a fourth position at which the free end is located farther from the body than at the third position. The first shaft protrudes from one of the tray and the body toward the other. The second shaft protrudes from the other to the one. The other includes a first guide that guides the first shaft. The one includes a second guide that guides the second shaft.
