Denture base and dental prosthesis
The invention relates to a denture base having a plurality of tooth socket compartments where one or more of the tooth socket compartments comprises a convex surface configured in step-like structure, and one or more prominences on the step-like structure. The invention further relates to a dental prosthesis including the denture base, at least one bonding agent, and a plurality of artificial teeth. Artificial teeth are bonded within tooth socket compartments such that each artificial tooth can rest upon the top of each prominence in the tooth socket compartment, maintaining a predetermined amount of bonding agent between the artificial tooth and the denture base. The denture base and dental prosthesis of the invention can better address the need for easier, more efficient and reliable set-up of artificial teeth in a denture base, and ensuring more consistent and predictable bonding of artificial teeth in a denture base.
CASTING MATRIX FOR CASTING AN ARTIFICIAL GINGIVA PART
The invention relates to a computer-implemented method for providing a template for a casting matrix configured for casting one or more artificial gingiva parts of a removable denture. The casting matrix comprises one or more recesses. Each of the recesses has a 3D geometric form, which is a negative of a 3D geometric form of a section of the removable denture with one of the artificial gingiva parts to be casted.

PROSTHETIC TOOTH OR DENTURE BASE
A prosthetic tooth for a denture comprises a lingual or palatal surface, an opposing vestibular surface, opposing proximal surfaces, an incisal or occlusal surface and an opposing apical surface, wherein at least one projection extends from a surface of the tooth for spacing the surface adjacent to the projection from a denture base. Alternatively, a denture base for a denture comprises a space having a surface for receiving a tooth, wherein at least one projection extends from a surface of the denture base for spacing the surface adjacent to the projection from the tooth. The projections assist with providing a substantially uniform or even layer of sufficient adhesive between a tooth and a denture base so that the strength of the bond between the tooth and the denture base is improved. In addition, a projection extending from a surface of a tooth makes it easier to determine whether the tooth is positioned correctly when the tooth is aligned with a denture base.

Preform for the production of a dental prosthesis
A preform intended for the production of a dental prosthesis. The preform includes a group of agglomerated ceramic, glass-ceramic or glass particles, such that, as volume percents: more than 40% and less than 90% of the particles of said group have a size greater than 0.5 μm and less than 3.5 μm, said particles hereinafter being denoted “enamel particles”, and more than 10% and less than 60% of the particles of said group have a size greater than 3.5 μm and less than 5.5 μm, said particles hereinafter being denoted “dentine particles.” The microstructure of the preform is such that there is an axis X, termed “axis of variation”, along which the Ve/(Ve+Vd) ratio changes continuously, Ve and Vd denoting the volume percents of enamel particles and of dentine particles, respectively. The enamel and dentine particles representing, together, more than 90% of the volume of the agglomerated particles.
System and process and for replicating soft tissue anatomy using a for implant supported fixed prostheses using 3D printed multi-purpose prototype
A process for replicating soft tissue anatomy of a dental patient prior to preparing an implant-supported fixed prosthesis is disclosed. The process may include: securing an interim prosthesis intra-orally in the dental patient for a predetermined time, after implants of the dental patient are osseointegrated, to evaluate the interim prosthesis based on a plurality of parameters within the mouth of the dental patient; printing a three-dimensional printed-resin prototype having an intaglio surface based on the evaluated interim prosthesis; attaching the three-dimensional printed-resin prototype into the implants; and injecting a low viscosity elastomeric impression material between the intaglio surface of the three-dimensional printed-resin prototype and the soft tissue of the dental patient to obtain a soft tissue replica for preparing the implant-supported fixed prosthesis.
Resin composition for optical shaping
The present invention provides a resin composition for optical shaping that, with its low viscosity, enables easy stereolithographical fabrication of an object, and that can produce an object having desirable toughness and desirable water resistance, particularly for dental mouthpieces and denture base materials. The present invention relates to a resin composition for optical shaping comprising a urethanized (meth)acrylic compound (A) and a photopolymerization initiator (B), the urethanized (meth)acrylic compound (A) being a (meth)acrylate containing at least one polyol moiety and a urethane bond per molecule, said at least one polyol moiety being selected from the group consisting of a polyester, a polycarbonate, a polyurethane, and a polyether each having a structure derived from a C4 to C18 aliphatic chain diol unit (a) having a branched structure.
