HEAT MOLDABLE, MULTILAYER DENTURE
20170348075 · 2017-12-07 ·

A universal fit, boil-and-bite denture may be sold over-the-counter. The denture includes a first portion that includes a tooth and a second portion attached to the first portion, the second portion comprising heat moldable material. The second portion may be configured to be formed in a mouth of a user when the user bites down on the heat moldable material. A multilayered (e.g., three layered) denture includes an expandable palate. When a palate portion expands, deforms or otherwise adjusts, a dental occlusion of the denture is maintained. The denture may be manufactured using injection molding or other layered manufacturing techniques.

Manufacturing device for the manufacture of a blank for a dental restoration part, method for manufacturing a blank for a dental restoration part, as well as blank

A manufacturing device is provided for the production of a blank, in particular one which is to be polymerized, of a dental restoration part. A mold for receiving blank material includes in particular a pot-shaped or cup-shaped base and a punch or—possibly hood-shaped—cover. An insert body with a structure on its underside and a heating device for the mold and a control device for the manufacturing device are provided. A height measuring device is connected to the control device, which measures the height of a reference surface connected to the punch or cover, relative to the base. The control device calculates the height position of the structure based on this measured height.

Methods, apparatuses, computer programs, and systems for creating a custom dental prosthesis using a CAD/CAM system

Digital design and/or fabrication of a dental prosthesis that includes a gingiva part having retention pockets and corresponding injection channels that extend from the retention pockets to an exterior of the gingiva part. The positioning of a matrix mated to a ball attachment of a dental implant is fixed in the retention pocket by injection of a curable adhesive through the injection channels and into the retention pockets. The location of the retention pockets and the injection channels may be automatically generated by a computer-aided design/computer-assisted manufacturing (CAD/CAM) system. The gingiva part including the retention pockets and injection channels can further be designed and fabricated by the CAD/CAM system.

Dental prosthesis with sealed attachment interface and cleaning fluid access thereto
09801700 · 2017-10-31 · ·

A dental prosthesis has a gum sealing rim that snugly contacts the patient's gum. The cavity formed within the gum sealing rim is accessed by through holes via which a pressurized cleaning fluid may be injected into the cavity. The cleaning fluid swirls around and washes of bacteria and deposits. Through a number of cleaning fluid drains, the cleaning fluid exits again the cavity. An additional drain blocker may be configured such that it blocks the cleaning fluid drains while it is clamped by the patient between the teeth. The resulting pressure build up in the cavity causes the cleaning fluid to squeeze out and clean the sealing interface between the gum sealing rim and the patient's gum.

FORM FOR PRODUCING A PRE-MOLDED PROSTHESIS-BASE BLANK
20170304033 · 2017-10-26 ·

The invention relates to a form for producing a pre-molded prosthesis base blank, wherein the pre-molded prosthesis base blank is provided for producing a prosthesis base for a dental prosthesis with a subtractive CAM method, wherein the form features an inner surface which is a negative of the prosthesis base blank to be produced, wherein the inner surface features a negative of a dental arch or a dental arch section with a thickening in the occlusal direction, and the form consists of at least two parts, which are affixed in such a manner that are detachable from each other or which are detachably affixable to each other.

The invention also relates to a method for producing a prosthesis base blank with such a form, in which a hot polymer or cold polymer is filled into the at least dual-part compiled form, the hot polymer or cold polymer is then hardened, and as a next step, the parts of the form are detached from the hardened prosthesis base blank. Finally, the invention also relates to a prosthesis base blank.
