Disclosed herein is a paper sheet processing device 100 including: a hopper unit 2 configured to take in paper sheets; a recognition unit 3 configured to read serial numbers of the paper sheets taken in through the hopper unit 2; a database 1202 configured to store the serial numbers read by the recognition unit 3; and a control unit 120 configured to process the paper sheets. The control unit 120 searches the serial numbers stored in the database 1202 for any duplicated serial number, and detects, when finding any duplicated serial number, that duplicate processes have been performed on a paper sheet identified by the duplicated serial number.

A sheet processing system comprising: a sheet processing apparatus; and a sheet counting apparatus, wherein the sheet processing apparatus includes: a conveying unit for conveying a sheet to be processed; a determination device for determining the sheet conveyed by the conveying unit; and an accumulation unit for accumulating a rejected sheet on the basis of a determination result given by the determination unit, wherein the sheet counting apparatus includes a counting device for counting the paper sheet, and the paper sheet counting apparatus counts the rejected sheet accumulated on the accumulation unit of the sheet processing apparatus, and having a transmitting unit that transmits an information about the counting result to a receiving unit of the paper sheet processing apparatus.

Disclosed herein is a paper sheet processing device 100 including: a hopper unit 2 configured to take in paper sheets; a recognition unit 3 configured to read serial numbers of the paper sheets taken in through the hopper unit 2; a database 1202 configured to store the serial numbers read by the recognition unit 3; and a control unit 120 configured to process the paper sheets. A sheet processing system comprising: a sheet processing apparatus; and a sheet counting apparatus, wherein the sheet processing apparatus includes: a conveying unit for conveying a sheet to be processed; a determination device for determining the sheet conveyed by the conveying unit; and an accumulation unit for accumulating a rejected sheet on the basis of a determination result given by the determination unit, wherein the sheet counting apparatus includes a counting device for counting the paper sheet, and the paper sheet counting apparatus counts the rejected sheet accumulated on the accumulation unit of the sheet processing apparatus, and having a transmitting unit that transmits an information about the counting result to a receiving unit of the paper sheet processing apparatus.

An image reading system is provided with a transport section for transporting sheets of documents one sheet at a time from a document bundle, a reading section for reading the documents, a detection section for detecting the documents, a display section for displaying a setting screen on which a target condition, which is a condition of documents that are the target of reading, is set, and a control section, wherein when the detection section detects a document that does not match the target condition, the control section causes the display section to display that a document that does not match the target condition has been detected.

A feeding device includes a housing, a sheet feeder tray that mounts a sheet, a feeding unit which transports the sheet from the sheet feeder tray, and is detachable from a rotating shaft, and a control unit that controls rotation of the feeding unit. The feeding unit is provided in such a way as to be turnable to a feeding position to transport the sheet mounted on the sheet feeder tray and to a replacement position to enable detachment from the rotating shaft. When replacing the feeding unit, the control unit switches the position of the feeding unit to the replacement position.
