Printing apparatus
A printing apparatus includes: a printing section; a print conveyor conveying a medium in the printing section; a constant-speed conveyor conveying the medium at a variable constant conveying speed in a circulation route for duplex printing; a registration roller pair against which the medium to be conveyed to the printing section is caused to abut; and a processor determining a conveyance schedule for the medium based on at least one of a first conveyance route length between a downstream end portion in a conveying direction of the print conveyor and an upstream end portion in the conveying direction of the constant-speed conveyor and a second conveyance route length between a downstream end portion in the conveying direction of the constant-speed conveyor and the registration roller pair, and a medium length in the conveying direction of the medium.
Method and apparatus for handling value documents
Input stacks of value documents are inserted in an input pocket of the value document processing apparatus, transported through the apparatus, checked and sorted into different deposit pockets of the value document processing apparatus, wherein reject value documents are deposited separately from the valid value documents. The reject value documents are automatically transported back to the input pocket with the aid of a reject transport device, to check the reject value documents again with the same value document processing apparatus (rerun). The reject transport device has several reject transport units, in which the reject value documents from the different input stacks are deposited separately from each other, and a reader for reading in the machine-readable identifier of the respective reject transport unit used for assigning the reject value documents of the respective reject transport unit to the input stack to which these reject value documents belong.
Sheet feeding apparatus and image forming apparatus
A sheet feeding apparatus includes a first tray on which sheets are stacked, a sheet feeder, a second tray on which sheets to be supplied to the first tray are stacked, wherein the second tray is disposed adjacently to the first tray, a sheet mover, an abnormality detector, and a controller. The sheet feeder feeds the sheets stacked on the first tray. The sheet mover moves the sheets stacked on the second tray. The sheet mover is movable between a first position for stacking sheets on the second tray and a second position for supplying the sheets stacked on the second tray to the first tray. The abnormality detector may detect an abnormality in the sheet mover. When the abnormality detector detects an abnormality in the sheet mover, the controller inhibits the sheet mover from operating and permits the sheet feeder to feed a sheet.
HIGH SPEED AUTOMATED FEEDING SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
Disclosed is an automated insert feeding system and related methods, capable of removing bulk-packaged items from a tray or other package, and separating the bulk-packaged items individually for distribution into individual packages in high speed reliable fashion. The disclosed systems can also be loaded with multiple packages of the pre-packaged items for automatic feeding into the system which allows human operators to load several packages and allow the system to work unattended, thereby reducing man-hours spend on the process.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR THE ALIGNMENT OF A BOOK BLOCK CONSISTING OF SINGLE SHEETS AND/OR SIGNATURES
A device for alignment of a book block consisting of single sheets and/or signatures is useable in a processing machine, in which manufacturing of books or printed products is carried out. The device is arranged upstream of a first processing station within the processing machine. The book block is feedable directly or indirectly into the device automatically or by hand. An alignment station has a base plate with a substantially vertically extending stop surface at an end thereof. The base plate has a movable part configured to carry out a movement with respect to the stop surface such that the movement of the movable part, in an operative connection to the stop surface, brings about an alignment of the single sheets and/or signatures at a book block edge, and such that, following alignment, the book block is grippable by at least one transport clamp for processing.
PAPER SHEET HANDLING APPARATUS AND PAPER SHEET HANDLING METHOD
A paper sheet handling apparatus (for example, a banknote handling apparatus (10)) includes a first transporting unit (30) configured to transport a plurality of paper sheets in a stacked state in a horizontal state, a feeding unit (40) configured to feed the paper sheets one by one, and a second transporting unit (50) configured to transport to the feeding unit (40) the stacked paper sheets transported by the first transporting unit (30). The second transporting unit (50) causes the stacked paper sheets being in the horizontal state to be inclined at angle to a horizontal plane.
Medium conveyance device and medium transaction device
A medium conveyance device includes a placement body having a bundle conveyance face on which a medium bundle is conveyed. A Scott-Russell body includes an abutting portion that abuts the medium bundle. A movement section causes the Scott-Russell body to abut against the medium bundle and moves the Scott-Russell body along the bundle conveyance face in first or second directions, so as to move the medium bundle along the bundle conveyance face in the direction. The conveyance state switching section switches to a first state in which the Scott-Russell body is caused to abut against a second direction side of the medium bundle and conveyance of the medium bundle toward the first direction is enabled, or to a second state in which the Scott-Russell body is caused to abut against a first direction side of the medium bundle and conveyance of the medium bundle toward the second direction is enabled.
Image forming apparatus that displays remaining amount of sheets, control method therefor, and storage medium
An image forming apparatus which prevents degradation of sheets stacked in a stacking unit. A sheet feeding unit has a first stacking unit and a second stacking unit. When sheets stacked in the first stacking unit have run out, sheets stacked in the second stacking unit are moved to the first stacking unit. A remaining amount of sheets in the sheet feeding unit is indicated on a display unit. When sheets are stacked in the second stacking unit, the display unit provides an indication that a remaining amount of sheets in the sheet feeding unit is the largest.
Image forming apparatus
A post-processing apparatus includes a first conveyor, a second conveyor, a third conveyor, and a conveyance passage corrector. The first conveyor conveys a sheet conveyed along a first conveyance passage downstream from the first conveyor. The second conveyor conveys the sheet along a second conveyance passage. The third conveyor conveys the sheet along a third conveyance passage. The conveyance passage corrector includes a retracting mechanism to retract from a joining position at which the third conveyance passage joins to the first conveyance passage and turns a conveyance direction of the sheet toward the first conveyor when the sheet enters from the third conveyance passage to the first conveyance passage.
Device and method for loading a storage area
A loading device to supply successively with cardboard sheets a station for handling the sheets by folding to form from them boxes for packaging, the handling station having a storage area to receive the successive sheets, optionally grouped in bundles, the device itself having a manipulator that includes: a gripping tool to pick up the sheets; an actuator to move the tool between an inventory of sheets and the receiving storage area of the station; a detection unit for detecting the status of filling of the storage area; and a control unit that directs the action of the device and that receives detection information from the detection unit to do this, the control unit being independent of the control of the handling station and programmable to adapt the operation of the loading device to the type of sheets handled. A corresponding process is also described.
