Device and method for conveying flat objects
A device for conveying and transferring flexible, flat objects with a gripper conveyor including a plurality of grippers that are movable along a conveying path in a conveying direction, and further with a conveying-way device that forms a conveying rest that, in a transfer region, is arranged below the conveying path such that objects that are released from grippers in the transfer region are deposited onto the conveying rest. The device includes a pressing circulatory device that acts upon the transfer region and has a plurality of outwardly directed pressing arms. The pressing circulatory device is designed, in the transfer region, to press the objects to be transferred with the pressing arms onto the conveying rest such that the objects can be deposited onto the conveying rest in a guided and controlled manner.

Apparatus and methods for dynamically controlling the spacing of conveyed objects
A conveying system employs independently controlled flights. The flights are controlled separately from a conveying surface using a linear transport system. The linear transport system allow the position of the flights to be controlled based on a parameter, such as the length of a conveyed object. The flights are pivotally mounted to a mover of the linear transport system and can pivot relative to the conveying surface to allow the flights to fit in a space between an end of carryway and a receptacle.

Disclosed is a punching apparatus, for a coil bound notebook, which divides into many an object to be bound such as a notebook, a book, an album and the like, then punches same while sequentially moving same and enables easy feeding of the object to be bound, for which the punching has been completed, to a subsequent coil binding position. A punching apparatus for a coil bound notebook, according to the present invention, has first and second alignment plates which are provided on a table on which an object to be coil bound is placed, a punch for punching into the object to be bound binding holes into which a coil spring is inserted, and a moving means for the object to be bound for moving the object to be bound to and from the punch. The moving means for the object to be bound comprises: a main body having a lower plate which is mounted on a support, a vertical plate which is fixed on the lower plate, and an upper plate which is fixed on the vertical plate so as to have the central part open; an LM guide having a rail which is fixed on the main body and a block which is coupled to the rail; a saddle which is fixed on the block of the LM guide and has a plurality of step layers formed on one side; a plurality of unit moving units which have formed thereon clips, dividing the object to be bound and holding single sheet bundles, to become sequentially higher and each of which is mounted on each of the step layers of the saddle; and a saddle moving unit which has a supporting plate fixed on the saddle, a first cylinder of which an operating shaft is fixed on the supporting plate, a fixing plate for fixing the rear of the first cylinder, and a screw rod for screw coupling one side of the fixing plate, coupling a handle to the front end and rotatably mounted on frontal and rear supporting plates fixed on the main body.

A sheet feeding apparatus includes an urging mechanism configured to urge a holding member such that a feeding member is brought into contact with an upper surface of a sheet loaded on a sheet loading member by the holding member. The urging mechanism includes a swinging member, a pressing member, and an urging member. The urging mechanism is configured to urge the holding member such that (i) a force by which the feeding member presses an upper surface of a sheet in a first state in which a distance between a loading surface and the feeding member is a first distance is larger than (ii) a force by which the feeding member presses an upper surface of a sheet in a second state in which the distance between the loading surface and the feeding member is a second distance longer than the first distance.

Plate material conveyance apparatus with temporary placement table
A plate material conveyance apparatus, disposed next to a plate processing machine, includes an unprocessed plate material placement unit, a processed plate material placement unit, a loader, an unloader and a temporary placement table. The loader reciprocally moves between the unprocessed plate material placement unit and the plate processing machine to deliver an unprocessed plate material onto the plate processing machine. The unloader reciprocally moves in parallel to and below the loader between the unprocessed plate material placement unit and the plate processing machine, and delivers a processed plate material from the plate processing machine to the temporary placement table positioned above the unprocessed plate material placement unit. The temporary placement table slides between the unprocessed plate material placement unit and the plate processing machine, and transfers the processed plate material, received from the unloader, to the processed plate material placement unit.
