A drivable roller having a cylindrical surface for use in a conveyor system for steering conveyed materials conveyed horizontally across the roller, and an arrangement including such a roller. The roller can be connected to a vacuum device and has at least one vacuum opening for generating a vacuum in the region of the cylindrical surface and which opens into the cylindrical surface of the roller.

SHEET STACKING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
20250388426 · 2025-12-25 ·

A sheet stacking device includes a stacker, a conveyor, and a marking device. The stacker stacks transfer sheets. The conveyor conveys the transfer sheets toward the stacker in a sheet conveyance direction. The marking device includes a marker storage to store a marker, an ejection port to eject the marker, a marker conveyor to convey and eject the marker from the ejection port, and a guide to prevent the marker ejected from the ejection port from moving in a direction opposite to the sheet conveyance direction. The marking device places the marker on an uppermost sheet of each predetermined number of the transfer sheets on the stacker.

Sheet conveying apparatus

A sheet conveying apparatus includes: a first conveying portion in which a band-shaped sheet including a first surface and a second surface is conveyed with the first surface facing downward; a turning portion located downstream of the first conveying portion and flips the sheet with the first surface facing inward; and a second conveying portion located downstream of the turning portion. The turning portion includes a convex curve along which the sheet is flipped. The convex curve includes a first and a second air ejection portions. The first air ejection portion is located in an upstream end region and ejects air toward the first surface of the sheet. The second air ejection portion is located downstream of the upstream end region and ejects air toward the first surface. The first air ejection portion ejects air to generate flotation larger than that of the second air ejection portion.

Paper sheet transport system, control device, air blowing device control method, and program

The present invention is a paper sheet transport system including: an air blowing device that generates an air flow for transporting paper sheets; a transport device that transports paper sheets with the air flow; and a control device that controls the air blowing device, and the control device includes a measuring unit that measures the speed of paper sheets on the transport device, and an adjusting unit that adjusts the air flow according to a result of the measurement. The control device includes a detecting unit that detects arrival of paper sheets at a deceleration region, and, when paper sheets in the deceleration region are faster than a specific speed, the adjusting unit causes the air blowing device to generate an air flow in an opposite direction to that of an air flow for transporting the paper sheets.

Sheet transport device comprising an endless transport belt

Disclosed is an image forming apparatus including a conveyance section, an attraction section, an image forming section, and a hardware processor. The conveyance section includes conveyance surfaces on each of which a sheet can be placed and that conveys the sheet placed thereon. The attraction section that attracts the sheet onto the conveyance surfaces by sucking air from suction holes. The image forming section forms an image on the sheet. When a decrease of an attraction force by the attraction section is caused in executing a print job, the hardware processor causes one or more of the conveyance surfaces to suck and convey a non-print job sheet and then causes the one or more of the conveyance surfaces to consecutively suck and convey a print job sheet, and does not perform image formation on the non-print job sheet and performs the image formation on the print job sheet.

Vacuum conveyor system for inkjet printing with adjustment to the covered area

Apparatus, methods, and systems for a vacuum conveyor for inkjet printing with adjustment to the covered area are disclosed. In some embodiments, a controller of a vacuum conveyor expands first one or more actuators of multiple first actuators of a substrate transportation system to decrease a suction width of an area of suction provided by the vacuum conveyor in accordance with a substrate width of a substrate being inkjet printed using the vacuum conveyor. A second one or more actuators of the multiple first actuators being retracted. The controller retracts multiple second actuators of the vacuum conveyor to increase the suction length of the area of suction while the substrate transportation system moves the substrate along the vacuum conveyor for inkjet printing of the substrate. The controller expands the retracted actuators of the multiple first actuators to increase the suction length as the substrates exit the vacuum conveyor.
