The conveyor includes a conveyance surface facing downward and configured to convey a conveyed object having a sheet-like shape. The conveyed object receptor is arranged below the conveyor and configured to receive the conveyed object having fallen from the conveyor.

Device for feeding sheets

A device is provided for feeding sheets to a sheet-processing machine having at least one processing mechanism. A feeder head is provided for cyclically separating the sheets from a pile of such sheets and has transporting suckers for transporting the sheets to a belt table. The belt table has at least one revolving transport belt which is guided over at least two feed rollers. A first drive is assigned to at least one feed roller and a sheet flap, which is connected to a pivotally mounted shaft, is provided between the transporting suckers and the at least one transport belt. A second drive is assigned to the shaft, for pivoting that shaft. A sheet arrival sensor, which is arranged between the belt table and the processing mechanism, generates first signals representing the arrival of the sheets for a sequence of sheets. A clock generator generates second signals representing the angular position of the at least one processing mechanism, and has a controller, which controls the first drive as a function of the second signals and which controls the second drive as a function of the first and second signals.

The device comprises a belt with a transport surface, wherein the belt is movable along a transport axis; a support element with a support surface for supporting the belt; and a vacuum supply for providing vacuum suction; wherein a suction distributing structure at the support surface of the support element is in fluid connection with the vacuum supply; and wherein the suction distributing structure has a belt suction region and a card suction region, wherein the belt suction region is configured to provide suction to the belt and the card suction region is configured to provide suction to flat pieces on the transport surface of the belt. The present application also relates to a system for treating flat pieces, the system comprising a treatment device, for example a print head.

An inkjet printing machine for printing individual sheets comprises at least one printing station and a transport system (100) for transporting the individual sheets through the printing station, along a transport direction. The transport system (100) comprises at least one gripper conveyor (150) movable along the transport direction, for gripping one of the individual sheets defining a sheet position in transport direction. The transport system (100) further comprises at least one support conveyor (190) movable along the transport direction for supporting a region of the individual sheet, wherein the supported individual sheet and the support conveyor (190) are movable along the transport direction with respect to each other. The printing machine allows for efficient and flexible handling of individual sheets, in particular large format sheets of materials such as corrugated cardboard or other materials that have a certain degree of inherent stability.

A vacuum belt conveyor sequentially delivers sheet articles to a digital printer. The sheets are held in position by vacuum on the underside of the sheets through apertures in the belts and covered by the sheets. A plurality of independent plenums on the underside of the belt have chambers respectively communicating with rows of apertures extending along the belt. Vacuum is selectively applied from a manifold only to the plenum chambers that supply apertures that are covered by the sheets so that the ink from the printer will not be directed from its intended position on the sheet by vacuum from adjacent uncovered belt apertures. The sheets are fed to the conveyor in synchronism with the conveyor speed by a timed feeder so that the sheets are carried by the conveyor with a predetermined gap between the sheets and no belt apertures in the gap. A sensor counts the apertures in the belt and activates the feeder at predetermined time intervals.

TRANSPORT MECHANISM AND AIR FLOW CONTROL APPARATUS

A banknote transport system 10 includes: an air blowing tube 100 that forms an air flow path 101; a moving body 200 that travels inside the air blowing tube while receiving an air flow within the air blowing tube; a transport path 401 (a transport tube 400) having at least a portion arranged along the air blowing tube to be adjacent to the air blowing tube; and a transport body 500 configured to be able to retain a banknote and traveling inside the transport path. The moving body includes a moving body magnet 213, and the transport body includes a transport body magnet 523. The banknote transport system moves the transport body in conjunction with movement of the moving body receiving the air flow due to attraction and/or repulsion based on a magnetic force applied between the moving body magnet and the transport body magnet.

An apparatus is disclosed comprising a print engine in a print zone. A platen opposes the print engine to support print media. The platen includes a plurality of openings in communication with at least one vacuum source. The platen includes a non-vacuum region, comprising a surface devoid of openings in communication with the at least one vacuum source. The non-vacuum region underlies at least a portion of the print zone.

A pneumatic transmission device includes a transmitting channel, an air inlet and an air supply device. The transmitting channel includes a first feeding path, a second feeding path, and a compressing path communicated between the first feeding path and the second feeding path. The compressing path is gradually inclined downward and rearward from a front end of the compressing path to a rear end of the compressing path. The second feeding path is equipped with a scanning unit. The air inlet is slantwise extended upward and frontward from a top wall of the transmitting channel. An inside of the air inlet defines a passageway. The passageway is connected with the second feeding path. The air supply device is connected to the passageway. The air supply device injects high pressure air into the passageway.

MACHINE FOR PROCESSING INDIVIDUAL SHEETS

A machine for processing individual sheets comprises at least one processing station, in particular in inkjet printing station, and a transport system (100) for transporting the individual sheets through the processing station, along a transport direction. The transport system (100) comprises at least one gripper conveyor (150) movable along the transport direction, for gripping one of the individual sheets defining a sheet position in transport direction. The transport system (100) further comprises at least one support conveyor (190) movable along the transport direction for supporting a region of the individual sheet, wherein the support conveyor (190) comprises a vacuum system for supporting the individual sheet on an interacting surface of the support conveyor, the vacuum system comprising a plurality of orifices in the interacting surface. The machine allows for efficient and flexible handling of individual sheets, in particular large format sheets of materials such as corrugated cardboard or other materials that have a certain degree of inherent stability.
