SHEET TRANSPORTING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet transporting device includes first and second position correcting components provided at respective positions in a direction of sheet transport and each being configured to correct a position of a sheet in a direction intersecting the direction of sheet transport by being shifted in the direction intersecting the direction of sheet transport while holding the sheet, and a changing component capable of changing an amount of correction of the position of the sheet individually for the first and second position correcting components.
Sheet stacking apparatus and liquid discharging apparatus
A sheet stacking apparatus includes a pair of sheet alignment mechanisms disposed to face each other in a direction of conveyance of a sheet or in a direction orthogonal to the direction of conveyance. Each one of the pair of sheet alignment mechanisms includes an aligning member, an elastic member, a driver, and a driving source. The aligning member reciprocates with reference to the sheet. The elastic member extends due to reaction force generated in response to pressing force applied to an edge of the sheet by the aligning member when a size of the sheet is larger than a prescribed size. The driver is coupled to the aligning member via the elastic member. The driving source transfers a driving force to the driver.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR MANIPULATING PLATES
A system for moving a flexible plate, in particular a printing plate or a printing plate precursor, over a support surface in the direction of a treatment station, comprising a support for supporting the plate on a support surface thereof; an articulated operating arm extending substantially parallel to the support surface and comprising a first segment and a second segment; said first segment having a first end which is rotatably connected to said second segment around a first rotation axis substantially perpendicular to the support surface, and a second end provided with a plate engagement means to contact the plate; said second segment being rotatable around a second rotation axis substantially perpendicular to the support surface; a control means to control the rotation of the first and second segment, such that the plate is slid over the support in the direction of the treatment station.
Sheet conveying apparatus
The present invention is to provide a configuration facilitating removal of a sheet stopped on a conveying belt. In a sheet conveying apparatus that conveys a sheet using a conveying belt and balls, a sheet may be jammed and stopped on the conveying belt. In this case, it is difficult for a user to take out the sheet through a take-out port if the sheet is nipped by conveying roller pairs disposed upstream and downstream relative to the conveying belt in a sheet conveying direction. Thus, conveying roller pairs and the conveying belt are operated such that the sheet, which is stopped on the conveying belt and hence should be taken out through the take-out port, is brought into a state of being nipped only by the conveying belt and balls.
Sheet processing apparatus
In accordance with an embodiment, a sheet processing apparatus comprises a processing tray, a longitudinal alignment mechanism, a horizontal alignment mechanism and an interlocking mechanism. The processing tray can stack a sheet. The longitudinal alignment mechanism includes a rotatable paddle. The longitudinal alignment mechanism can align the sheets stacked on the processing tray in a sheet conveyance direction. The horizontal alignment mechanism includes a horizontal alignment plate movable in a sheet width direction orthogonal to the sheet conveyance direction. The horizontal alignment mechanism can align the sheets placed on the processing tray in the sheet width direction. The interlocking mechanism interlocks the paddle in the sheet width direction in synchronization with the movement of the horizontal alignment plate in the sheet width direction.

SHELVING SYSTEM WITH SINGLE PRODUCT PICK-UP AND NON-RETURNABLE MECHANISMS
A cooler for storing and dispensing products is disclosed. The cooler includes a housing having an open access. A first glider and a second glider are disposed on a shelf interior of the housing, with a front end closer to the open access and a back end. The first and second gliders each has a partition and a pushing mechanism. The partition can prevent a user from reaching the products on both the first and second gliders at the same time with a single hand. The pushing mechanism can be adjustable between a locked condition to inhibit a movement of the products from the front end to the back end and a released condition to allow a movement of the products from the front end to the back end.

BAG ENGAGING DEVICE
An assembly (10) to engage seemingly closed bags (11) that contain a product. The assembly (10) includes a conveyor (14) that has a length (16) that is moved in a conveying direction (17). A compression device (24) is adjustable in respective distance from the length (17) by a parallelogram arrangement. The compression device (24) engages the bags (11) and compresses the bag (11) against the length (12), with sensors (33 and 34) providing a signal indicative of the depth of the bags (11), and therefore a signal indicative of bags (11).
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a control portion configured to control, based on a detection position of a sheet in a width direction, in a case where a center of an image formed on a first surface at an image forming portion in the width direction is displaced from a center of the sheet in the width direction at the image forming position and an image is to be formed on a second surface of the sheet, a moving portion to move the sheet in the width direction such that a position of the center of the sheet on a conveyance path in the width direction at the sheet forming position when the image is formed on the first surface and a position of a center of the sheet on the conveyance path in the width direction at the sheet forming position when the image is formed on the second surface coincide.
