SHEET CONVEYING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCORPORATING THE SHEET CONVEYING DEVICE
A sheet conveying device, which is incorporated in an image forming apparatus, includes a first detector to detect an angle deviation of a recording medium to a sheet conveying direction, a second detector to detect a lateral shift of the recording medium to a width direction, a third detector to detect at least one of the angle deviation and the lateral shift after correction of the angle deviation detected by the first detector and the lateral shift detected by the second detector, and a rotary body to perform a primary movement by (1) rotating in the sheet conveying direction and returning to a reference position and by (2) moving in the width direction and returning to the reference position, and a secondary movement by performing at least one of (1) and (2) after the primary movement.

The present invention includes a sheet transmission system, comprising: a sheet stacking unit, a sheet position adjusting unit, a sheet processing unit, and a sheet collection unit, arranged in series along a transmission path of a sheet; and one or more independent transmission units, each transmission unit provided between two adjacent units among above units; wherein the sheet stacking unit is configured to store the sheet to be processed; the sheet position adjusting unit is configured to adjust the position of the sheet; the sheet processing unit is configured to conduct a predetermined process to the sheet transmitted therein; the sheet collection unit is configured to collect the processed sheet; wherein when a sheet is transmitted along the transmission path, the sheet is subjected to at least one transition between the first-direction transmission state and the second-direction transition state; and wherein the sheet will not deflect in a vertical direction.

A paper sheet transport apparatus (10) includes transport member that is slidable along the widthwise direction of a transport path (11) (e.g., a drive roller (36) and a driven roller (38)), and a paper sheet detection unit (inlet-side paper sheet detection sensor (70)) that is arranged on an upstream side of the transport member in the paper sheet transport direction along the transport path (11) and detects the position of the paper sheet in the widthwise direction of the transport path (11). A control unit (80) calculates an amount of movement of the transport member based on the position of the paper sheet in the widthwise direction of the transport path (11) detected by the paper sheet detection unit and a previously set predetermined position of the paper sheet in the widthwise direction of the transport path (11).

A sheet-member separation device includes a first air blower, an attractor, a conveyor, a second air blower, and an adjuster. The first air blower blows air onto a front side of a stack of sheet members in a sheet-member conveyance direction. The attractor attracts an uppermost sheet member floated from the stack of sheet members by the air blown from the first air blower. The conveyor conveys, in the sheet-member conveyance direction, the sheet member attracted by the attractor. The second air blower blows air toward a lateral side of the sheet member. The adjuster moves the second air blower and the attractor together to adjust positions of the second air blower and the attractor in the sheet-member conveyance direction.

A sheet-member separation device includes a first air blower, an attractor, a conveyor, a second air blower, and an adjuster. The first air blower blows air onto a front side of a stack of sheet members in a sheet-member conveyance direction. The attractor attracts an uppermost sheet member floated from the stack of sheet members by the air blown from the first air blower. The conveyor conveys, in the sheet-member conveyance direction, the sheet member attracted by the attractor. The second air blower blows air toward a lateral side of the sheet member. The adjuster moves the second air blower and the attractor together to adjust positions of the second air blower and the attractor in the sheet-member conveyance direction.

A sheet conveying device includes a correcting portion and a side end detecting portion for detecting a side end of a sheet. The correcting portion includes a first roller whirlable about a first axis in a crossing direction crossing a conveyance direction and a widthwise direction and for correcting a position of the sheet in the widthwise direction, and a second roller disposed at a position different from the first roller in the widthwise direction, whirlable about a second axis in the crossing direction and for correcting the position of the sheet. Based on a detection result of the side end detecting portion, a control portion executes a first control in which the correcting portion corrects the position of the sheet in the widthwise direction and executes a second correcting control in which the correcting portion corrects the position of the sheet after the first correcting control.

A sheet conveying device includes a correcting portion and a side end detecting portion for detecting a side end of a sheet. The correcting portion includes a first roller whirlable about a first axis in a crossing direction crossing a conveyance direction and a widthwise direction and for correcting a position of the sheet in the widthwise direction, and a second roller disposed at a position different from the first roller in the widthwise direction, whirlable about a second axis in the crossing direction and for correcting the position of the sheet. Based on a detection result of the side end detecting portion, a control portion executes a first control in which the correcting portion corrects the position of the sheet in the widthwise direction and executes a second correcting control in which the correcting portion corrects the position of the sheet after the first correcting control.

A machine vision-based sheet defect labeling method and apparatus, a device and a medium are provided. The method includes: performing a defect inspection on a target sheet conveyed to a preset defect inspection position, specifically, the target sheet continues to be conveyed towards a preset labeling position after passing the preset defect inspection position by being conveyed; generating a defect label of the target sheet when a defect present in the target sheet is determined, specifically, the defect label carries defect information represented by a two-dimensional barcode symbol including discontinuous dots; and labeling the defect of the target sheet at the preset labeling position with the defect label of the target sheet.
