A splice arrangement includes an unwinding arrangement for unwinding a finite first material web from a first material roll or a finite second material web from a second material roll, a braking arrangement for applying a braking force to the unwinding arrangement and/or the finite material web being unwound, a connection arrangement for connecting the finite material webs to form an endless material web, a storage trolley for the uninterrupted conveying of the endless material web, at least one material web tension-influencing device arranged before the storage trolley, and an actuation device, which is in signal connection with the at least one material web tension-influencing device for actuating the same.

A medium processing apparatus includes a printer, a supporting member having a sheet-like shape and configured to support a discharged medium, and a winding unit configured to wind the supporting member and move with respect to the printer. The winding unit has a first case and a second case that rotatably support a winding shaft, and a placement portion placed at a flat surface. The first case and the second case in a state where axis lines of respective bearing portions that support the winding shaft are aligned with each other and in a state of being held so as to be mutually non-rotatable in a plane orthogonal to an axis line of the winding shaft, and when the winding unit is installed on a flat surface, the placement portion contacts the flat surface.
UNWINDER FOR PAPER CONVERTING
Unwinder for paper converting, comprising a support (1) adapted to support a reel (B) from which a web of paper material is unwound and comprising dragging means acting by contact on said reel (B) and adapted to impose a rotation of the reel coil about the respective longitudinal axis (x) with a predetermined speed, the diameter of the reel (B) varying while the latter rotates. The dragging means have a variable configuration. The unwinder comprises reconfiguration means adapted to vary the configuration of the dragging means on the basis of the instantaneous diameter of the reel (B) and control means (5; EU) adapted to control said reconfiguration means such that the contact between the reel (B) and control the dragging means takes place on a contact area (200) having an angular extension (a) substantially constant while the diameter of the reel (B) varies.
UNWINDING OR WINDING ROLLS OF PRINT SUBSTRATE
In one example, a device for unwinding or winding multiple rolls of print substrate includes multiple spindles each to hold a roll of print substrate and a differential operatively connected to one end of each spindle. The spindles are aligned with one another lengthwise along a spindle axis and the differential is to output torque along a differential axis offset from the spindle axis to turn the spindles on the first axis.
Rolled good feeding device and method
The present application relates to rolled good feeding device and method. Material feeding devices and methods are provided for conveying material from material rolls. The material roll may be adjusted in the longitudinal direction during the feeding process by a rectifying frame to aid in maintaining alignment during the unrolling. Tension of the unrolled material may be monitored and unrolling speeds of the feeding device can be adjusted to maintain tension of the material within a range for that material. Aspects also contemplate elements to feed multiple rolled materials simultaneously for subsequent processing in combination as layered materials.
APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR FACILITATING WRAPPING OF ARTICLES WITH WRAPPING MATERIALS
An apparatus and a system for facilitating the wrapping of articles with wrapping materials is described. In one example, the system includes two or more apparatuses adapted to be secured in adjacent spaced relation to one another on a planar surface so as to support a roll of wrapping material above the planar surface so as to freely rotate between a pair of apparatuses. Each apparatus includes a clamp assembly adapted to be actuated by a user to removably attach its corresponding apparatus to a ledge of the planar surface so that the supported roll is parallel to and above the planar surface.
