A dental anchoring system for fastening prostheses having a male component, a female component which is coupled to the male component, and a connection element which is coupled to the female component and makes up the retaining element of the prosthesis configured to be joined to the connection element. The dental anchoring system is configured to achieve a self-adjustable fastening of the prosthesis which enables the mobility of prosthesis to be controlled when it is subjected to a load during the use thereof by a patient; and wherein the mobility is limited by a ring-shaped stop of the female component, when at least one portion of a ring-shaped plane of the connection element comes into contact with ring-shaped stop of the female component.

An outer area (31) and side areas (32) of the angled connection area (29) form an elbow (40) devoid of protruding edges directed towards the interior of the inner bore (2). Said elbow (40) facilitates the insertion and extraction of a screw through the inner bore (2) during the assembly or disassembly of the dental prosthesis (1) on a dental implant. Some methods of manufacturing said dental prosthesis (1) are also proposed.

An improved denture system is disclosed. An improved denture system has a support bar and a denture material blank. The denture material blank has an oversize cutout to secure the support bar. The support bar has oversized implant interfaces and optional oversized tooth abutments. After securing the support bar in the denture material blank the final shape and dimensions of the implant interfaces and optionally the final shape and dimensions of the tooth abutments will be machined. The denture system will result in an accurate reference and registration between the denture teeth and base and the implant interfaces

A system for fixing a prosthetic component to an anchor implanted in the bone of a patient. The prosthetic component includes a fixing channel and an installation channel. The fixing channel opens to an engagement collar configured to engage with a bone anchor. The installation channel opens from an outer surface of the prosthetic and communicates with the fixing channel. The installation channel permits placement of a fastener therethrough into the fixing channel to secure the prosthetic to the bone anchor. The axes of the fixing channel and the installation channel intersect at a point which lies within the radius of a fastener seat which is configured to engage a head of the fastener when the fastener is placed into the fixing channel.

Multiple layer coating and coating method for dental devices and the like

A multi-layer coating of alternating titanium nitride (TiN) and titanium carbo nitride (TiCN) layers is applied to at least part of a dental device for use in attaching crowns, overdentures, and the like in a patient's jaw, where the outermost layer is TiCN with a predetermined percentage of carbon to produce a pink color. The pink outermost layer is of sufficient thickness to conceal the color of the underlying layers, and is very hard and resistant to wear and damage in use. At the same time, the outermost TiCN layer is of a color consistent with the gingival anatomy, and is very hard and resistant to wear and damage in use.
