Printing apparatus
A roll sheet, in which a continuous sheet is wound in a roll form, is caused to rotate in a forward direction to supply the sheet to a printing unit. First and second sensors are arranged at positions facing an outer circumferential surface of the roll sheet and deviated in an axis line direction of the roll sheet. Outputs of the first and second sensors are changed in accordance with a distance to a sheet of the roll sheet. A rotation direction of the roll sheet is switched from a forward direction to a reverse direction on the basis of the outputs of the first and second sensors while the roll sheet is being rotated in the reverse direction.
PRINTER
A printer for printing an image on a sheet stored in a rolled shape, includes a sheet holder by which the sheet in the rolled shape is rotatably held and including at least one side plate movable in a width direction of the sheet and contacting a side surface of the sheet, a printing head by which an image is printed on the sheet that has been conveyed from the sheet holder, a buffer unit between the sheet holder and the printing head and including a plate-shaped member that is connected to an elastic member that generates an elastic force by which the conveyed sheet is pressed, and an adjusting unit by which the movable side plate and the buffer unit is connected such that the elastic force varies depending on a location of the side plate.

Smart toilet paper dispenser
A smart toilet paper dispenser comprises a powered paper dispenser, an enclosure, a plurality of drawers, and a top surface. The smart toilet paper dispenser receives user input and in response dispenses a predetermined amount of paper. The user input is motion detected by a motion sensor, a voice command detected by a microphone, or touch detected by a push button. A switch allows a user to select one of multiple paper lengths dispensed by the smart toilet paper dispenser. The top surface comprises a non-slip surface and includes a plurality of ridges and a raised perimeter to prevent items placed thereupon from rolling. The top surface includes a groove large enough to accommodate a user's device. Storage drawers are included, one of which holds trash bags. A novel smart toilet paper dispenser allows easier, touchless operation of the device and removes one touchpoint by which pathogens are transmitted.
TUBE HOLDER FOR LINE DISPENSING
A tube holder supports a spool of flexible line wrapped onto the outer surface of a tube. The tube holder comprises a body portion configured to support the tube thereon, such that the interior surface of the tube rests of the top surface of the body portion; and an end protector detachably secured to the distal end of the body portion via a quick-release, contact fastener. The end protector is configured to be detachably secured to the body portion, while remaining spaced away from the tube such that the tube does not interfere with connecting the end protector with the body portion.
ROLL SUPPORT STRUCTURE AND PRINTER
A roll support structure is used in a printer which pulls out a sheet material from a roll on which the strip-shaped sheet material is wound and performs printing on the sheet material, where a holding portion which is inserted inside a tubular core of the roll to hold the roll rotatably includes a first portion which is in contact with an upper portion of an inner surface of the core and supports the roll from below and a second portion which is located further on a downstream side in a conveyance direction of the sheet material than a contact point between the first portion and the core and prevents movement of the oscillating roll supported by the first portion to the upstream side in a conveyance direction within a predetermined range.

Sheet feeding apparatus and printing apparatus
A sheet feeding apparatus includes a supporting unit that rotatably supports a roll sheet formed by winding a continuous sheet into a roll shape, a conveying path forming member that is placed in a position spaced apart from the roll sheet supported by the supporting unit, and forms a conveying path of the sheet, and a displacing unit that includes a guide portion capable of being displaced between a guide position and a retracting position set farther from a start position than the guide position. The guide portion is displaced from the retracting position to the guide position when a leading edge of the sheet separated from the roll sheet supported by the supporting unit is positioned between the guide portion in the retracting position and the start position.
CONVEYING APPARATUS AND PRINTING APPARATUS
A conveying apparatus includes: a conveying unit configured to convey a sheet in a conveyance direction along a conveyance path; a sheet holder arranged upstream in the conveyance direction from the conveying unit to rotate around an axis, the axis extending in a first direction intersecting with the conveyance direction; a tensioner arranged between the sheet holder and the conveying unit in the conveyance path and configured to apply tension to the sheet with the sheet being curved; and a first side guide attached to the tensioner and having a first guide surface, the first guide surface spreading along the conveyance direction and a second direction intersecting with the first direction. The tensioner includes an oblique roller configured to guide the sheet to the first guide surface.
