Roll holder assembly for loading media rolls in wide format printers
A media roll holder assembly for a roll is detachably supported in a printing system. A rotational drive includes a roll engaging element configured for fittingly engaging and driving a drive engaging element of a roller, for example an Oldham coupling. A first guide surface is configured to support and direct the roller in a loading direction. A second guide surface at least partially extends at an angle with respect to the first guide surface, such that movement of the roller over the first guide surface brings the drive engaging element in contact with the second guide surface. The second guide surface directs the drive engaging element into a predetermined orientation, which orientation aligns the drive engaging element with the roll engaging element in a loading orientation, such that further movement of the roller in the loading direction inserts the drive engaging element into the roll engaging element.
DECOUPLED SOLENOID AND PAWL FOR A DOOR-MOUNTED MULTI-PURPOSE FEEDER
In the invention described, an actuating solenoid on one side of a printer wall connects to a pawl by a lever component. The lever has a pawl-actuating post extending through a wall window so that it may interface with a flared slot on the clutch's pawl. By extending the post through the wall window, space is saved when the printer door is closed because the solenoid does not need to be on the inside of the wall.

A printing apparatus provided with a transportation mechanism for a printing medium includes: a storage configured to store a machine-learned model that outputs a setting value of the transportation mechanism for causing, based on state variables including a print length as a length of a print product printed on the printing medium, the print length to be close to a reference; and a processor configured to perform printing by controlling the transportation mechanism in accordance with the setting value acquired based on the machine-learned model.
Device and method for feeding rubber sheet member
A device and a method for feeding a sheet material are provided. A conveying machine is disposed above a holding machine. A sensor detects a lateral position of a rubber sheet fed from the holding machine. At a position between a grip position below the conveying machine and a release position at an upstream side in a conveying direction above the conveying machine, a leading edge of the rubber sheet is gripped by a gripping machine. The gripping machine is revolved and moved to the release position using, as a revolution center, a position in a vertical direction midway between the grip position and the release position. The leading edge being released is pressed against a placement surface of the conveying machine by a pressing portion. The rubber sheet is placed on the placement surface and conveyed to a downstream side in the conveying direction by the conveying machine.
Tape feeder set-up system
The tape feeder set-up system has a tape feeder, having an electric motor, for feeding a carrier tape wound on a reel and accommodating multiple components in a predetermined feed direction; a loading table on which the tape feeder can be loaded; a scheduled use determination section for determining whether a component in the tape feeder loaded on the loading table is scheduled to be used based on a component usage schedule, and a control section for reversing the carrier tape in a direction opposite to the predetermined feed direction by controlling the electric motor of the tape feeder when the scheduled use determination section determines that the component is not scheduled to be used.
Dispenser for rolled sheet materials
A dispenser having a feed roller that at least partially engages sheet material to facilitate dispensing thereof, and a cutting mechanism disposed within a chamber defined by a body of the feed roller. The cutting mechanism including a cutting blade and at least one movable support connected thereto. The at least one support further is operatively connected to the body of the feed roller and is actuated with rotation thereof to move the cutting blade into and out from one or more openings defined along the body of the feed roller to at least partially cut or perforate a selected portion of the sheet material as the sheet material is dispensed.

An apparatus and method for supporting sheet material, comprising a frame including a first arm and a second arm, the second arm in communication with the first arm to support a roll of the sheet material there-between, and a drive roller for transporting the sheet material from the roll. The first arm and the second arm automatically resize the frame corresponding to the dimensions of the roll of the sheet material to provide constant tension in the roll of sheet material by controlling a position of the roll of the sheet material.

UNWINDER FOR REELS AND UNWINDING METHOD
The unwinder includes a pair of tailstocks adapted to engage and support a reel to be unwound and a peripheral unwinding device adapted to coact with a reel in the unwinding station. There is also provided a shuttle adapted to insert reels into the unwinding station, movable between a loading position of the reel on the shuttle and a position aligned with the pair of tailstocks, to transfer a reel from the shuttle to the tailstocks or vice versa. In use, the peripheral unwinding device is positioned under the reel of web material, so that the force exerted by the peripheral unwinding device on the reel being unwound has a component that is subtracted from the weight force of the reel.
