Method for producing slit separator and method for producing separator roll
A good-quality slit separator having a small amount of fuzziness at a slit part thereof is to be obtained. The present invention includes: a step (S101) of conveying an original sheet (S); and a step (S102) of slitting the original sheet (S) by causing a plurality of slitting blades (72) to cut into the original sheet (S) such that tangent plane angles (.sub.3) in a tangent plane, on which a slitting position is in contact with the original sheet (S), are substantially identical with each other.
UNWINDING OR WINDING ROLLS OF PRINT SUBSTRATE
In one example, a device for unwinding or winding multiple rolls of print substrate includes multiple spindles each to hold a roll of print substrate and a differential operatively connected to one end of each spindle. The spindles are aligned with one another lengthwise along a spindle axis and the differential is to output torque along a differential axis offset from the spindle axis to turn the spindles on the first axis.
CHUCK WITH IMPROVED TORQUE TRANSMISSION AND CENTRALIZATION
An expansible chuck for holding hollow cylindrical cores used for winding and unwinding sheet material. A portion of the chuck body nearest the flange is stepped up so that the diameter of the chuck near the flange is slightly larger than the diameter of the rest of the chuck. The stepped up portion centers the chuck within the core which helps the expanding elements to uniformly grip the core.

Coiling device for a large range of metal strip thicknesses
A coiling device that includes a coiler (1) having a coiling mandrel (3) for coiling a metal strip, and a coiling swing arm (4) having front and a rear pressure rollers (5, 6) and a deflection plate (7). A swing arm drive (8) lines up the coiling swing arm (4) with the coiling mandrel (3) and is driven away from the coiling mandrel (3). An upper duct flap (9) upstream of the coiler (1) in the feed direction (x) guides the metal strip (2). A flap drive (10) positions the upper duct flap (9) such that, when the coiling swing arm (4) is lined up with the coiling mandrel (3), the upper duct flap is arranged between the coiling mandrel (3) and the front pressure roller (5) of the coiling swing arm (4) or is arranged upstream of the front pressure roller (5) of the coiling swing arm (4).
Assembly system and method for packaging web material in a roll
Rolling assembly for packaging web material in a roll having a base member with concave arcuate feed surface defining an upwardly-extending ramp, first intermediate member movably coupled to base member, and top member moveably coupled to at least one of base member or first intermediate member, top member having a concave arcuate pressure surface facing feed surface of base member. The base member, first intermediate member and top member collectively forming an iris with a feed space, the iris moveable between a first condition and a second condition, and configured to receive web material along the feed surface and direct the web material upwardly toward the top member to form a roll within the feed space, the iris moving toward a second condition as the roll of web material increases in cross dimension against the pressure surface of the top member.
Wind-up apparatus for a web material
The invention relates to a roll making apparatus comprising spindles optionally having apertures for pressurized air and/or for applying a vacuum, the spindles being movable between a retracted position and an extended position, a roll engaging face configured to engage a roll carried by a spindle, upon the spindle carrying said roll moving to said retracted position, to move the roll relative to the spindle.
Machine and method for producing bobbins of stretch film
A winding machine (10) is disclosed comprising at least one reel holder (12) mounted on a supporting frame (11) and rotatable around its own axis (13), and a plurality of reels (1-4) mounted on the holder (12) and integrally rotatable therewith so that at least one first reel (1) is in at least one operative winding position of a bobbin (5). It is further described a respective method for the in-line winding of bobbins (5) of stretch film (6), comprising the steps of rotating a core (7) on a reel (1) in an operative winding position to wind the film (6) onto the core (7), positioning a contact roll (15a) in at least one proximal contacting position in which it contacts the winding bobbin (5) for facilitating the peripheral winding of the stretch film (6) on the core (7), bringing the reel (1) from the operative winding position of the bobbin (5) to an operative unloading position of the bobbin, positioning an accompanying roll (15b) in at least one proximal contacting position in which it contacts the bobbin (5) for facilitating the peripheral winding of the stretch film (6) on the bobbin (7), transversally cutting the stretch film (6) and unloading the bobbin (5). The movement of the contact roll (15a) and the accompanying roll (15b) is carried out by means of electric actuators (18a, 18b).
Safety chuck
A safety chuck mounted to equipment that process web material is provided. The safety chuck is provided with a die spring connecting a moveable jaw with a spindle, said spring urging the moveable jaw into a fully closed position. A number of magnets mounted on a mounting flange will engage the moveable jaw, overcoming the spring's force and holding the moveable jaw in a fully open position. Rotation of the spindle releases the magnets allowing the spring to force the moveable jaw back into a fully closed position.
