Modular dispenser for a paper web turn-up system
An improved tape delivery assembly for delivering a turn-up tape across a moving web of paper being wound onto a spool, the assembly being part of a paper web turn-up system, the tape being used to sever and transfer the leading edge of the cut paper web onto an empty spool. A secondary tape dispensing module may deliver a secondary turn-up tape while a primary tape delivery module is temporarily removed from the paper web turn-up system.
Article selection and placement assembly and method
An apparatus is disclosed for applying tags with attached elastic anchor bands onto the tops of objects such as bottles in a high speed packaging application. The apparatus includes an infeed assembly for feeding a web, a conveyor assembly that receives a web and conveys it along a path in an upstream direction, a rotating selector wheel, a placement assembly, a pair of rotating jaw assembles, a vacuum cup of the selector wheel, and stretched elastic bands over the tops of respective bottles being conveyed along a path below the placing assembly. The elastic bands then snap onto the tops of their respective bottles to secure the tags to the bottles.

EXTRACTION ASSEMBLY OF A CORE FROM A LOG, CONVERTING LINE HAVING SAID ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CORELESS LOG
Disclosed herein is an extraction assembly for producing coreless logs. The extraction assembly includes a rectilinear transporter (20) of a log (11) wound about a disintegrable core (12), and a gripping device (30) for a portion of the core (12) projecting from the log (11), wherein the rectilinear transporter (20) has a transverse transport direction with respect to a log advancement direction of the log (11) along the converting line (100), and has an alternating transport direction back and forth in opposite directions, and the rectilinear transporter (20) contains a first portion for being received within the converting line (100), and a second portion for being placed outside the converting line (100), in which the second portion is aligned with respect to the first portion along the transverse transport direction. Also disclosed herein are a converting line containing the extraction assembly, and methods for producing coreless logs.
PROCESS AND DEVICE FOR LOADING, UNLOADING AND CONTINOUS WINDING OF PRODUCT ON A REEL
The device incorporates a mobile station with: a first shaft (6) to support a movable reel (4) and to actuate rotation of the movable reel (4) around the first shaft (6); gripping means (10) for gripping and releasing the movable reel (4) from a first side of the movable reel (4) closest to the first shaft (6); and transport means (15) to move the movable reel (4) in the direction of the first shaft (6) between the mobile station (1) and a loading position. The process handles one single reel (4) in each change, reducing labor and simplifying logistical management of reels (4). Likewise, the reels (4) are handled from one single side, the side closest to the first shaft (6). Therefore, space is freed up on the other side, providing more available space.
Method of making a coreless retail paper roll
A paper rewinding machine includes a rewinding assembly operable to produce coreless retail paper rolls.
METHOD FOR PERFORMING MEASUREMENTS OF LOGS IN A PRODUCTION LINE AND PRODUCTION LINE FOR IMPLEMENTING THE METHOD
A line is disclosed for producing logs of web material provided with a system for controlling, in real time, one or more parameters of the logs produced by the line and for facilitating any corrective actions. The line includes a rewinder, a feed path for the logs from the rewinder towards at least one station arranged downstream of the rewinder; and a measurement station. The measurement station includes at least a measurement device for measuring at least one parameter of logs randomly selected from the feed path and held in the measurement station, for example a device for measuring the firmness of the logs. The measurement station further includes first transferring members for transferring selected logs from the feed path to the measurement station, and second transferring members for transferring selected logs from the measurement station to the feed path.
Roller arm assembly for temporary tape removal machine
A roller arm assembly for a temporary tape removal machines which roller assembly supports a spool assembly on a vehicle that removes temporary tape from a pavement surface. The roller assembly is attached to a chassis or frame of the vehicle and is pivotal between a raised and lowered position. The roller assembly includes a lower arm member and an upper arm member which are rotatably coupled together. The upper arm member supports a spool assembly and a hydraulic motor that rotates the spool assembly. The upper arm of the roller assembly can be rotated with respect to the lower arm to allow the spool assembly to be position on either side of the vehicle chassis or frame.
A METHOD AND A MACHINE FOR WINDING A WEB ONTO SPOOLS TO FORM A SUCCESSION OF WEB REELS
A device and method of winding a web (W) of tissue paper or a non-woven material onto spools (2) to form a succession of web reels (3) on the spools (2) wherein the force in the winding nip (5) is measured and, as the diameter of the web reel (3) grows, the spool (2) on which the web reel (3) is wound is moved during winding along a horizontal plane such that, in the horizontal direction, the distance between the first supporting drum (4) and the spool (2) increases, and the second supporting drum (9) is moved vertically downwards to match the increasing size of the web reel (3) while maintaining contact with the web reel (3) to such an extent that a nip force between the web reel (3) and the second supporting drum (9) is maintained, and the first supporting drum (4) is moved vertically downwards as the diameter of the web reel (3) grows and moved to such an extent that the measured nip force in the winding nip (5) remains substantially at a set value or within the range of a predetermined upper and a predetermined lower value.
Surface Rewinder with Center Assist and Belt and Winding Drum Forming a Winding Nest
A rewinding machine winds a web material into a log about a core. The web material to be wound is directed about a rotating winding drum. A continuous loop is spaced from the winding drum and with the winding drum defines a nip through which the core is inserted and through which the web material is directed. A surface of the continuous loop opposite the winding drum across the nip is configured to move in a direction generally opposite of the winding drum for winding the web material about the core. A rider roll defines a winding space with the winding drum and the continuous loop. The rider roll is movable relative to the continuous loop and the winding drum to allow for an increase in a diameter of the log in the winding space during winding of the web material about the core.
