Disclosed is a wind-up system and a method for winding-up a strip. The wind-up system includes a first work station and a first supply member for supplying the strip to said first work station. The first work station includes a first collection area for holding a first collection reel to collect and wind-up the strip; a first liner area for holding a first liner reel to unwind a liner, and a first guide area extending from the first liner area into the first collection area, wherein the unwound liner is unwound from the first liner reel through the first guide area onto the first collection reel. The wind-up system further includes a pick-and-place member for picking-up a leading end from the first supply member and for placing the picked-up leading end of the strip onto the liner within the first guide area.
Rewinding machine
Rewinding machine comprising a drive unit (1) for supplying a paper veil (2); a winding unit (3) for winding the paper veil supplied by the drive unit into a coil (W) around a winding core (4), comprising a primary roller (6) and a secondary roller (7) rotating in contact with the winding core (4), and a pressure unit (30) provided with a rotating roller (A, B, C) on the coil (W) that is being formed; a core exchange unit (5) for ejecting the formed coil (W) from the machine at the end of a winding cycle and inserting a new core to be wound; separation means (11) for interrupting the continuity of the paper veil at the end of a winding cycle; means for winding a drawing flap (34) of the veil (2) on the new core (4) at the beginning of a new winding cycle.
Dunnage system and method using a coil accumulator
A dunnage production system for producing coiled strips of dunnage includes a supply of strip-like dunnage, a coiler adjacent the supply and rotatable about a coiling axis for coiling a strip of the strip-like dunnage into a coil having a coiled configuration, and a tube aligned with the coiling axis. The tube has an internal diameter sized to receive the coil from the coiler in a discharge direction parallel to the coiling axis. The tube is capable of holding at least one coil in its coiled configuration until it is removed from the tube.
Solid Roll Product Formed From Surface Rewinder With Belt And Winding Drum Forming a Winding Nest
A rewinding machine winds web material into a log. The machine has a winding drum that is rotatable about a center axis and about which the web material to be wound is directed. A continuous loop is spaced from the winding drum and with the winding drum defines a nip through which the web material is directed when winding the web material into the log. The continuous loop is configured to move in a direction generally opposite of a direction of the winding drum at the nip. The continuous loop is configured to change speed relative to a speed of the winding drum during winding the web material into the log about a lead edge of the web material. The continuous loop is positionable relative to the winding drum at the nip to accommodate winding the web material into the log about the lead edge of the web material and to sever the web material.
PAPER CONVERTING PLANT
Paper converting plant including a rewinder adapted to produce paper logs and having an inlet for feeding a paper web, a winding station where the logs are formed and an exit station for unloading the finished logs. The rewinder has walls delimiting a chamber inside which the logs are formed, and an air suction channel at a lower part of chamber. The suction channel exerts a suction causing the formation of an air flow directed from the top to the bottom inside the chamber. The chamber includes two semi-chambers communicating with the air suction channel such that a vertical air flow directed downwards is generated in each of them, the chamber being provided with a manner for regulating the vertical air flows providing vertically oriented identical air flow rates in the semi- chambers.
Machine and process for the production of logs of paper material
Rewinding machine for the production of logs of paper material, including a winding station in which is fed a paper web and, in sequence, more tubular cores, and in which station winding are arranged a first, a second and a third winding roller cooperating with each other to wind a predetermined amount of said paper web onto each core. The machine includes a fourth winding roller which is connected to respective moving elements adapted to arrange it in a first inoperative position until the diameter of a log in the winding station is lower than a first predetermined value and a second operating winding position when the diameter of the log being formed is equal to said first predetermined value, the moving elements being controlled to maintain the fourth roller in the second operating winding position until the diameter of the log reaches a second final value higher of the first predetermined value.
Paper mill rewinder with continuous reel change device
The invention pertains to the field of industrial machinery for converting paper and/or for processing strip materials, and relates to a paper mill rewinder for forming reels of paper strip material, in particular, but not exclusively, tissue paper, of conventional or structured type, non-woven, TAD (Through Air Drying), or other similar materials characterized by having a very light weight and low density, with continuous, or non-stop, reel change device. Said rewinder (1) comprises: a supporting frame (3); feed means (4) for a winding rod (A); a main forming cradle (C1) for a reel (B) around said winding rod (A), comprising a first (5) and a second (6) winding roller; means for unloading (7) said reel (B) once formed; a control unit, a secondary pre-forming cradle (C2) for said reel (B), comprising a third winder roller (8) and lateral supporting means for said reel (B); means for transferring said reel (B) from said secondary pre-forming cradle (C2) to said main forming cradle (C1), where said transfer takes place without interruption to the winding, of the strip (N) onto said rod (A).
Gluing group for a rewinding machine for applying glue to an end edge of a log, rewinding machine bearing such group and related gluing method
A gluing group for a rewinding machine for applying glue to an end edge of a log comprising a delivery roller (12) supported in an idle manner by supporting and translation guiding elements (15, 16), delivery means (20) for delivering a glue line (11) on one of the generatrices of the delivery roller (12), a linear actuator (30) connected to said delivery roller (12) to transmit the approaching and distancing movement of the delivery roller (12) against the paper (11) being wound onto a contrast roller (115). A rewinding machine comprising such gluing group and a related method for gluing the end edge also form part of the invention.
MODULAR DISPENSER FOR A PAPER WEB TURN-UP SYSTEM
An improved tape delivery assembly for delivering a turn-up tape across a moving web of paper being wound onto a spool, the assembly being part of a paper web turn-up system, the tape being used to sever and transfer the leading edge of the cut paper web onto an empty spool.
