Conveyor device
The present disclosure is a conveyor device which feeds a thin workpiece from an unwinding roll and conveys the thin workpiece on a conveyance path. The conveyor device includes first movable holding members, fixed holding members, a cutting device, second movable holding members, a first position sensor, and a first correction mechanism.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR TRANSPORTING WEBS OF MATERIAL
Methods and apparatus for transporting either an entire web or discrete components of disposable products such as diaper components down the machine using mechanical forces to grip the nonwoven web and transfer it from one belt or roll to another without or reducing added vacuum. There is a carrier nonwoven web that goes down the length of the machine and other substrates are added on top of this layer, and the machine provides sufficient gripping to allow transport of diaper components through the fabrication process. Securing and releasing forces are supplied so that the components can be retained at some points and released at others.

Web winding device
The present invention provides an improved belted reel which is particularly well suited for the winding of soft, bulky tissue webs and overcomes the limitations of the prior art. The belted reel is capable of providing coordinated web tension and nip control by providing the winding parent roll with two nip pointsthe first nip formed between the winding roll and the second between the winding roll and a second support drum. Preferably the drum encircled by the endless belt lies above the second support drum and the first and second nip points lie in the same vertical plane.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AIR PILLOW CONVEYANCE AND SEPARATION
An inflatable packaging system includes an inflatable cushioning supply and a conveyance module. The conveyance module includes a sliding conveyor, a fixed conveyor, a belt-drive, and an encoder. The sliding conveyor is adjustable, relative to the fixed conveyor, such that a space between the sliding conveyor and the fixed conveyor is adjustable. The belt-drive displaces the inflatable cushioning supply through the space between the sliding conveyor and the fixed conveyor. The encoder is coupled to the belt-drive.
UNWINDING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR UNWINDING A TIRE COMPONENT FROM A STOCK REEL AND FOR OUTPUTTING SAID TIRE COMPONENT IN A TRANSPORT DIRECTION
The invention relates to an unwinding system for unwinding a tire component from a stock reel and outputting said tire component in a transport direction, wherein the unwinding system comprises a reel station, a conveyor and a transfer device, wherein the conveyor extends at least partially above the reel station, wherein the transfer device comprises a retaining surface for releasably retaining the tire component along a guide path between a pick-up position for picking up the tire component from the reel station and a release position for disposing the tire component on the conveyor, wherein, in the release position, the retaining surface is facing towards the conveyor, and wherein the retaining surface is offset between the release position and the pick-up position over an offset angle of at least ninety degrees around an inverting axis that is parallel to the conveyor and perpendicular to the transport direction.

Automated air-pillow dispenser
A transfer and dispensing apparatus is disclosed for the conveying and separation of packaging material, cushions or pillows when needed by the operator. When a packer working over a conveyor receives a box that requires void fill, an operating switch such as a foot pedal is depressed to dispense pillows from the apparatus and into the box in a connected strip. When the operating switch is released, the apparatus stops dispensing pillows, separates the continuous strip of pillows along a transverse perforation in the strip, and ejects the end of the separated segment. The packer can then complete packing the box by placing the severed end of the pillows into the box, advance to the next box, and repeat the process. The transfer and dispensing apparatus may be positioned in any convenient location including adjacent to, above or attached to the inflation device.
