The reel-up (1) comprises a rotatably mounted reel spool (4) onto which a paper web (W) can be wound to create a paper roll (5) of increasing diameter and an endless flexible belt (6) mounted for rotation along a predetermined path of travel such that the flexible belt (6) forms a loop. The flexible belt (6) is positioned adjacent to the reel spool (4) to engage the paper web (W) against the reel spool (4) during winding such that the flexible belt (6) is deflected from the predetermined path of travel when the paper roll (5) starts to build up on the reel spool (4). The flexible belt (6) is air permeable and at least one blow box (7, 8, 9) is arranged inside the loop of the flexible belt (6) such that an underpressure can be generated that draws the paper web (W) against the flexible belt (6). The at least one blow box (7, 8, 9) has at least one nozzle (10) through which air is blown out of the at least one blow box (7, 8, 9) and the nozzle is shaped as a slot. According to the invention, the at least one blow (7,8, 9) box faces the flexible belt (6) with an outer surface (11) which is convexly curved such that dust which has been sucked through the flexible belt (6) and lands on the at least one blow box (7, 8, 9) is helped by gravity to glide along the outer surface (11) of the blow box (7, 8, 9) and fall of the blow box (7, 8, 9).

Packaging machine infeed, separation, and creasing mechanisms
A machine for forming packing templates includes a infeed mechanism that can feed multiple feeds of sheet material into the machine without repositioning the infeed mechanism or forming creases or bends in the sheet material. The machine also includes a separation and cutting systems with one or more cutting tables and biased knives that cut the sheet material packaging templates. The machine also includes creasing roller(s) that forms creases in the sheet material. The machine also includes a system for reducing or eliminating the impact of irregularities in the sheet material.
RECORDING APPARATUS
Provided is a recording apparatus that includes a transport belt for transporting a medium, a pressing roller configured to press the medium against the transport belt, and a support portion capable of supporting the transport belt. In the stated recording apparatus, the transport belt and the support portion make contact with each other when the pressing roller is pressed against the medium. By making the recording apparatus have the constitution as described above, it is possible to make the transport belt support the medium with certainty and suppress an increase in friction force between the transport belt and the support portion capable of supporting the transport belt.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus which includes a transport belt which transports a medium; a pressing roller which presses the medium to the transport belt; and a support unit which can support the transport belt, in which at least a part of a portion of the support unit, which faces the pressing roller through the transport belt is subjected to friction relief processing. By setting to a recording apparatus with such a configuration, it is possible to suppress an increase in friction force between the transport belt and the support unit which can support the transport belt.
Reel-up for winding a paper web into a roll and a method of winding a paper web to form a roll

The belt includes a first surface configured to support a medium and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The gripping unit includes a first abutting portion that comes into contact with the first surface, and a second abutting portion that comes into contact with the second surface. The gripping unit can be changed between a gripping state of moving along with the glue belt while gripping the glue belt, and a release state of being separated from the glue belt. When the gripping unit is in the release state, the second abutting portion is separated from the second surface in conjunction with the first abutting portion being separated from the first surface.
Automated air-pillow dispenser
A transfer and dispensing apparatus is disclosed for the conveying and separation of packaging material, cushions or pillows when needed by the operator. When a packer working over a conveyor receives a box that requires void fill, an operating switch such as a foot pedal is depressed to dispense pillows from the apparatus and into the box in a connected strip. When the operating switch is released, the apparatus stops dispensing pillows, separates the continuous strip of pillows along a transverse perforation in the strip, and ejects the end of the separated segment. The packer can then complete packing the box by placing the severed end of the pillows into the box, advance to the next box, and repeat the process. The transfer and dispensing apparatus may be positioned in any convenient location including adjacent to, above or attached to the inflation device.
