Indirect orthodontic bonding systems and methods for bracket placement

Systems and methods for fabricating indirect bonding trays are disclosed. Physical models of a patient's teeth can be created with non-functional placeholder brackets, impressions of which can be transferred to indirect bonding trays. This can create wells in which functional brackets can be placed into, reducing errors created from transferring functional brackets from the physical model onto the indirect bonding trays.

The disclosed technology provides for setting up teeth, such as dentures and dental appliances, based on motion data. A method can include receiving, by a computing system, a digital representation of the patient's jaw movement, receiving a digital model of at least a portion of the patient's upper and lower teeth, receiving user input indicating selection of at least a first tooth in the digital model as moveable, at least a second tooth as fixed, and at least a third tooth as ignored, moving the at least portion of the upper teeth and the lower teeth along movement pathways indicated by the digital representation of jaw movement, and automatically adjusting a position of the selected first tooth based on detecting the position of the selected at least first tooth as colliding or interfering with one or more other teeth represented by the digital model along one of the movement pathways.

Screw retained abutment with off-axis feature and methods of making and using same

An abutment is provided with a screw access hole and a slot in its sidewall adapted to allow a driver to access a screw in the screw access hole at an angle relative to a longitudinal axis of the screw. The abutment may include a screw seat and may be connected to an implant via a screw in the screw seat. A prosthesis, which may include a driver access channel that has a diameter less than the outer diameter of the drive portion of the screw, may be placed over the abutment. Methods of making a dental prosthesis and methods of attaching and removing the dental prosthesis from the implant are also disclosed.

In order to improve the reliability of a dental restoration, a method of implanting the dental restoration is provided. The method includes virtually disposing a virtual implant selected from a digital library on the basis of a CT image to correspond to an implantation information, and a virtual implanting guide sleeve, which is virtually and concentrically disposed to be spaced upward from an upper end portion of the virtual implant by an offset distance, and a scanning image overlap and are integrally stored; and generating design information of a surgical guide, wherein a virtual coupling hole corresponding to an outer circumference of the virtual implanting guide sleeve is formed in the design information.

CHEEK RETRACTOR AND MOBILE DEVICE HOLDER

The present disclosure provides methods, computing device readable medium, devices, and systems that utilize a cheek retractor and/or a mobile device holder for case assessment and/or dental treatments. One cheek retractor includes a first and a second lip holder, both including imaging markers of a predetermined size to determine a scale of teeth of a user, where each imaging marker is located a predefined distance from the remaining imaging markers, and where the lip holder is to hold a cheek away from a mouth of a user to expose teeth of the user. A mobile device holder can include elements to receive a mobile device to capture images of the patient's teeth.
