Method for operating a machine for producing and/or processing a material web
A method for operating a machine for producing and/or processing a material web, wherein a first drive unit is supplied by a converter with a current, a vibration propagating over the material web is captured via the first drive unit, the vibration is measured and transformed into a measurement signal that is examined for presence of a signature that differs from the basic waveform of the current, a web tear is thus identified if the signature propagating over the material web is missing during the evaluation of the electrical measurement signal, whereby no further sensors, in particular optical sensors, are required to capture the measurement signal, and the measurement also occurs independently of a torque, a speed or speed development of drive motors over time and, moreover, the detection of the web tear does not require a comparison measurement at the machine without a continuous material web.

Ultrasonic detection system
A system for detecting labels arranged on a support and spaced apart from one another by a spacing, the system including a transmitter part including a transmitter arranged to transmit a beam of ultrasonic waves towards the support which carries the labels, a receiver part, separated from the transmitter part, such that the support carrying the labels can pass along a plane located between the transmitter part and the receiver part, the transmitter part or the receiver part being arranged so that the beam of ultrasonic waves transmitted by the transmitter covers, on the support carrying the labels, a total surface area in which the surface area occupied by the spacing between two labels is greater than the surface area occupied by the labels.

CONTROLS FOR PAPER, SHEET, AND BOX MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS
Systems for providing efficient manufacturing of sheet or box structures, corrugate sheets, or other products of varying size and structure often with pre-applied print (pre-print) are provided herein. The systems include various features and modules that enable automated control of the corrugator, including the knives, slitters, scorers and cut-to-mark detection system(s), are contemplated. Colored markings may be used to indicate an order change section between two order sections of a roll plan for the manufacturing process. The colored markings are detected as the corrugator runs and, once detected, a controller determines a next set of order instructionse.g., to match the upcoming order. Thus, an order change may occur, thereby enabling automated control of the corrugator based on the new order instructions. Computer readable markings may enable checking of the actual position in the roll plan to an intended position, enabling stopping or changing of the corrugator operation if needed.
