DENTAL HYGIENE SYSTEM, DEVICE, AND/OR METHOD
A flosser is described comprising, floss, a body, a piece source spool and a single piece take-up spool. The source spool and take-up spool may snap into a source cavity and a take-up cavity, respectively. The source and take-up spools may be rotatably secured in the respective cavities using detent rings and snap rings. A cantilever flexure assembly is integrated into the body and includes a push button assembly and a ratchet flexure. The push button assembly controls rotation of the source spool for dispensing and tensioning floss. The ratchet flexure controls rotation of the take-up spool for collecting and tensioning floss.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PERSONALIZED ORAL IRRIGATION
Described herein are systems and methods for providing personalized oral irrigation. One variation of a system for personalized oral irrigation comprises a fluid reservoir and a customized oral insert in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir. The oral insert comprises an arrangement of fluid openings positioned based on the individual oral or dental structures of a user's teeth to provide a customized fluid flow over the user's teeth. Also described herein are methods for generating an arrangement of fluid openings in a customized oral insert.
Dispenser for disposable products
A refillable dispenser including a housing and a cover. The housing can include an internal cavity, an activation mechanism cavity separate from the internal cavity, and a multi-state actuator structured to alternate between compressed and extended positions. The internal cavity can be structured and configured to house individual products in a stacked orientation, and the activation mechanism cavity can house the multi-state actuator. The cover can include an open bottom and can fit over and around the housing. By pushing the cover down, the user activates the multi-state actuator and causes it to extend, which pushes the cover up and causes a bottom portion of the housing to be exposed so that the user can remove one product at a time. The dispenser can be mirrored about a vertical or horizontal plane to allow it to dispense from either end, thereby making the dispenser ambidextrous.
Advanced oral hygiene force regulation and technique improvement apparatus and method
An apparatus and system for cleaning oral cavities via a device with predetermined optimally imposed methods to remove germs, bacteria, tartar and plaque, which have been clinically proven to cause gum disease and tooth loss, efficiently and with minimal abrasion to tooth enamel and gums. Variations of this disclosure include but are not limited to embodiments where the device utilizes any of the aforementioned components to achieve the intended function. However, a preferred embodiment of this disclosure comprises an electrically controlled magnetic field to allow optimal contact pressure in the mouth, a motion device capable of tracking motion coordinates to record daily cleaning methods and to inform recommendations and web enabled capability to store activity over time, a scrolling toothbrush and gum cleaning device or a stationary mouth guard device applying the same force dampening and applying technology in a more automated fashion.
GRIPPING ELEMENT FLOSS
Embodiments of a floss strip and methods of using the same are disclosed herein. The floss strip can include a flossing filament. The flossing filament can have a first end and a second end. The flossing strip can include a first anchor coupled to the flossing filament at the first end of the flossing filament. The flossing strip can include a second anchor coupled to the flossing filament at the second end of the flossing filament. The flossing filament can couple the first and second anchors. The flossing strip can include a tensioning member attached to the flossing filament at an intermediate location between the first anchor and the second anchor.
Dental hygiene system
A flosser is described that has only moving four parts, floss, a single piece body, a piece source spool and a single piece take-up spool. The source spool and take-up spool may snap into a source cavity and a take-up cavity, respectively. The source and take-up spools may be rotatably secured in the respective cavities using detent rings and snap rings. A cantilever flexure assembly is integrated into the single piece body and includes a push button assembly and a ratchet flexure. The push button assembly controls rotation of the source spool for dispensing and tensioning floss. The ratchet flexure controls rotation of the take-up spool for collecting and tensioning floss.
