Method and apparatus for separating blanks
A method for separating blanks includes continuous conveying of a sheet metal strip in a transport direction to a laser cutting station, concurrent cutting of the sheet metal strip by at least one cutting laser, wherein a cut sheet metal strip is formed from successive sections of the same cutting geometry, transporting the cut sheet metal strip on a first conveyor belt in the transport direction, taking over the cut sheet metal strip from the first conveyor belt, transporting the cut sheet metal strip in the transport direction, separately ejecting the at least one residual blank of each section, transporting the at least one blank of each section into overlap with a second conveyor belt and ejecting the at least one blank from the suction conveyor, and transporting the blanks ejected one after the other from the suction conveyor horizontally in the transport direction to a collecting station.
SHEET CONVEYANCE DEVICE, IMAGE READING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE
The present invention aims at avoiding a stacking failure of sheets on a discharge tray. A conveyance mechanism (51) conveys a sheet along a conveyance path (500), and further discharges the sheet from a discharge port (500a) of the conveyance path (500). A discharge tray (56) is disposed below the discharge port (500a) on a downstream side of a discharge direction of the sheet, and receives the sheet discharged from the discharge port (500a). A blower (58) is disposed above the discharge tray (56) or above the discharge port (500a), and blows air downwardly onto the sheet on the discharge tray (56).
Interfolding machine
An interfolding machine produces interfolded sheets according to an interfolding configuration and, starting from a web of paper provides a feeding section, which applies a tension on the web and moves the same along a feeding direction feeding the same to a cutting section, in which the web of paper is cut into a series of sheets at a cutting point between a cutting roller and a counter-cutting element. Downstream of the cutting section, a folding section includes a first and a second folding rollers counter-rotating with respect to each other. The first and second folding rollers rotate about respective rotation axes with a first peripheral velocity vP, and fold, at a folding zone, a plurality of sheets in a plurality of panels and form the stack of interfolded sheets. The cutting roller alternately distributes the aforementioned sheets between a transfer roller and the first folding roller.
SHEET POSTPROCESSING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM THEREWITH
A sheet postprocessing device includes a sheet conveying passage, a sheet tray, an inlet guide, a processing device, and a blowing device. Though the sheet conveying passage, a sheet on which an image has been formed is conveyed. The sheet tray is arranged downstream of the sheet conveying passage and has sheets stacked on it. The inlet guide is arranged at the downstream end of the sheet conveying passage and guides a sheet to the sheet tray. The processing device performs predetermined processing on a sheet stacked on the sheet tray. The blowing device blows air, from the upstream side in the sheet conveying direction, between the top face of the top-most sheet in the sheets stacked on the sheet tray and the bottom face of the subsequent sheet sent from the inlet guide into the sheet tray.
Methods for transferring discrete articles
Methods of transferring discrete articles are provided. A method comprises providing a transfer device having a frame defining a rotation axis, and circumnavigating a plurality of transfer heads of the transfer device about the rotation axis in an orbit, with the orbit passing through a pick-up location and a drop-off location. The method comprises providing a web accumulation device proximate to the drop-off location, moving the web through the web accumulation device at a variable speed, picking up a discrete article at the pick-up location, carrying the discrete article on the one of the plurality of transfer heads between the pick-up location and the drop-off location, and placing the discrete article onto a portion of the web in the drop-off location at a first discrete article pitch and when the portion of the web is moving at a first speed.
Sheet feeding device and image forming apparatus
A sheet feeding device includes: a stacker that stacks sheets of paper; a suction conveyor disposed vertically above the sheets stacked in the stacker for sucking and conveying the sheets; a blower that blows air onto the sheets; and a regulating member disposed on a downstream side of the suction conveyor in a conveyance direction, facing an outlet of the sheets of the suction conveyor and projecting vertically upward, wherein the suction conveyor includes: horizontal portions provided on both ends in a width direction; and a recess provided in an intermediate portion and recessed vertically above the horizontal portions, and a lower limit of a projection height of the regulating member is set so that, when there is a vertical gap between a vertical upper end portion of the regulating member and the horizontal portions, a length of the gap is less than twice a thickness of the sheets.
Device for overlapping sheets
A device for overlapping sheets includes at least one blower box and a supply table. Multiple sheets are guided into a region of the blower box consecutively, in the same transport direction, and are arranged at a distance from one another on the supply table. A blower nozzle is arranged in the blower box, on the side thereof facing the supply table. A blowing direction of the blower nozzle is oriented and parallel to the supply table and against the transport direction of the sheets. The supply table is arranged below the blower box and multiple blower nozzles are arranged in the blower box, one after the other, in the transport direction of the sheets, on the side thereof facing the supply table. A respective blowing direction of the blower nozzles is oriented in parallel to the supply table, and against the transport direction of the sheets.
STACKING MACHINE FOR HANDLING INDIVIDUAL SHEETS AND A SHEET DISPENSING SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING INDIVIDUAL SHEETS
The present invention relates to a method of stacking individual sheets and a stacking machine for handling individual sheets, the stacking machine comprising a frame assembly including support columns (711) for supporting the delivery station (70), the transfer station (80) and the elevation station (82). The delivery station has a delivery table (71) and the transfer station including a handling arm (85) is movable from a first position above the delivery table to a second position above the elevation station. The handling arm includes a holding member (86) for contacting the sheets individually and transferring the sheets individually from the delivery table to the elevation station and releasing the sheets individually at the elevation station. The elevation station has a platform for collecting the individual sheets and the platform is moved vertically from a first level to a second level for allowing the sheets to be stacked on top of the one another.
