MEDIUM DISCHARGING APPARATUS, MEDIUM PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND RECORDING SYSTEM
A medium discharging apparatus includes a first tray in which a medium is received and placed, a second tray in which the medium discharged from the first tray is received, a discharging mechanism, a curl suppressing member, a link mechanism, a movement mechanism and a cam mechanism. The discharging mechanism discharges the medium from the first tray toward the second tray. The curl suppressing member suppresses curling of the medium discharged from the first tray to the second tray by the discharging mechanism. The curl suppressing member is provided in the link mechanism. The movement mechanism is configured to move the link mechanism and the curl suppressing member in both the discharge direction and a return direction opposite to the discharge direction. The cam mechanism guides movement of the link mechanism.
Method for franking packages individually supplied from a stack by a franking machine
A method for franking packages individually supplied from a stack on a conveyor line to a franking machine, such as envelopes, mailing bags, sleeves, cards, labels, printed products, or the like, which are removed at the lower side of the stack for separation and which are supplied on the upstream conveyor line to a printing mechanism of the franking machine and which, after printing of the packages, are discharged from the franking machine. The packages are supplied on the conveyor portion via a switch to the franking machine and after printing are supplied counter to the supply direction from the printing mechanism of the franking machine via the transposed switch of a depositing device which is provided therebelow for printed packages.
Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus includes a lower unit having a recording section configured to perform recording on a medium, and an upper unit disposed on the lower unit, the upper unit including a reading section configured to read an image of the document, in which the lower unit includes a medium discharge section configured to discharge the medium toward the rear of the apparatus, and a medium receiving section disposed on the apparatus rear side with respect to the medium discharge section, the medium receiving section being configured to receive the medium discharged, and the upper unit is shorter than the lower unit in the apparatus front-rear direction and the upper unit is closer to the apparatus front with respect to the lower unit such that an end portion of the medium receiving section in the medium discharging direction is exposed at the rear of the upper unit.
Converting machine
A system that converts sheet material into packaging templates includes a converting assembly that performs conversion functions, such as cutting, creasing, and scoring, on the sheet material as the sheet material moves through the converting machine in a first direction. The converting assembly may be mounted on a frame such that the converting assembly is elevated above a support surface. One or more longhead converting tools performs conversion functions on the sheet material in a first direction and a crosshead converting tool performs conversion functions on the sheet material in a second direction in order to create packaging templates.

Image reading apparatus
A scanner includes a reading section configured to read a medium being transported, a discharge roller pair configured to nip the medium read in the reading section by a first roller and a second roller and discharge the medium, and a rib disposed in a position overlapping the discharge roller pair in a medium transport direction, the rib protruding from the first roller side toward the second roller side out of the first roller and the second roller, the rib including a first rib disposed on one side in a width direction intersecting the medium transport direction with respect to the discharge roller pair and a second rib disposed on the opposite side of the first rib in the width direction with respect to the discharge roller pair.

Sheet stacker having movable arms maintaining stack quality
A sheet stacking apparatus includes a frame, a round member directly or indirectly connected to the frame, and an arm directly or indirectly connected to the frame. The arm is rotatable to rotate between a first position and a second position. The arm is positioned to bias sheets toward the round member when in the first position, and the arm is positioned to bias the sheets away from the round member when in the second position.
