DENTAL PROPHY ANGLE
A dental prophy angle includes a housing, a driving assembly, a first limiting member, a second limiting member, and a prophy cup, where the driving assembly includes a first driving shaft and a second driving shaft; the second driving shaft comprises one end connected to the first driving shaft by a gearing connection, and the other end provided with the prophy cup; and the first limiting member is sleeved on the first driving shaft and locates between the first driving shaft and an inner wall of the housing, and the second limiting member is sleeved on the second driving shaft and locates between the second driving shaft and the inner wall of the housing, to play a position limiting role and prevent the first driving shaft from falling out. The first limiting member is in snap connection with the housing for fixation, which makes the installation simple.
Prophy Cartridge System
A prophy angle system includes a the prophy angle, a hand piece configured to drive a central shaft within the prophy angle, means within the hand piece for advancing at least one push rod from a distal end of the hand piece, and a paste cartridge configured to fit within the cavity of the prophy angle without interfering with rotation of the central shaft, the cartridge including a plunger positioned at a proximal end of the cartridge such that when the at least one push rod pushes against the plunger in a distal direction, paste may be dispensed distally through the cavity in the prophy angle and into the prophy cup.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REDUCING OR ALTERING ORAL BACTERIA AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A method and apparatus for the concurrent treatment of multiple oral diseases and defects while promoting general oral hygiene utilizing direct current electricity and methods for manufacturing the same. Electrodes are used to deliver a direct current to the gingival tissues of a mouth in order to achieve a number of therapeutic, prophylactic, and regenerative benefits. These benefits include killing oral microbes, increasing oral vasodilation, reducing oral biofilm, improving oral blood circulation, reversing oral bone resorption, promoting oral osteogenesis, treating gum recession, and fostering gingival regeneration. Other benefits include the treatment of gingivitis, periodontitis, and oral malodor, and other systemic diseases correlated with oral pathogens.
METHOD OF ASSEMBLING A DENTAL SYSTEM
A method of assembling a dental system includes providing an angled dental device having a unitary drive shaft extending from a first end having a first geometry, and providing a dental handpiece including a first end having a second geometry, the first dental handpiece end adapted to receive the drive shaft, the first geometry and the second geometry being not directly compatible. The method further includes sufficiently extending the drive shaft inside one or more adapters and the dental handpiece.
CONDITION SENSING AND AGENT RELEASING DEVICE TO INDUCE REMEDIATION OF THE DETECTED CONDITION OR MALADY
An oral hygiene device may include a housing having first and second ends, the second end configured to be inserted into an opening of a user/animal, and a processor carried by the housing. The oral hygiene device may include a pH sensor carried by the housing at the second end, and a pH neutralization device carried by the housing and configured to emit neutralization agent into the opening of the user/animal. The processor may be coupled to the pH sensor and the pH neutralization device. The processor may be configured to detect a pH level within the opening of the user/animal, compare the pH level within the opening of the user/animal with a threshold pH level, and selectively control the pH neutralization device based upon the comparison.
Dental Implantoplasty Tool For Preventing Peri-Implantis In Dental Implants
A dental tool for resurfacing thread forms of a dental implant is disclosed. The tool includes a main body having a cylindrical member with a slot. A blade having a head is inserted in the slot to orient the head to protrude from the interior surface of the cylindrical member of the main body. The main body may be rotated into traversing a thread form of the implant. A compression sleeve is inserted over the main body. The compression sleeve has an open position and a closed position to hold the blade in the slot.
DENTAL TOOLS WITH REMOVABLE INSTRUMENT HEADS AND FLUID DELIVERY LINES
A dental instrument comprising a handle removably attached to an instrument head. The handle has at least two fluid lines in fluid communication with at least one aperture in the instrument head, and may be used for aspiration and irrigation. Details of fluid line and aperture arrangements are discussed, as well as instrument heads and attachment mechanisms.
Splatter reduction in a small head contra-angle prophy
A splatter guard for a dental cleaning tool eliminates the splatter by gathering splatter first on the outer lower one-third to one-half of the fructoconical prophy cup using combination of vanes and the dimples. As the splatter migrates upwards, the splatter guard wipes off the splatter. The reason the splatter guard is constructed smaller than the cup is because it allows the cup to flex outward without interfering during use thereof. The splatter guard can be attached several different ways, including slide in, snap on, secured between two half-housing members, or formed integrally with the housing, for example. The drive train is housed in a partial split contra angle housing which allows accurate positioning of the gears as it is required to ensure that the cup rotates concentrically and remains in touch with the knife edge of the splatter guard.
Prevenative dental hard tissue laser treatment systems and methods
In one aspect, embodiments relate to a system for performing preventative dental laser treatment. The system includes, a code reader configured to read a machine readable code, a processor configured to verify the machine readable code and prevent future verification of the machine readable code, and a laser treatment system configured to perform a laser treatment, based upon the verified machine readable code. The laser treatment system includes a laser arrangement configured to generate a laser beam, an optical arrangement configured to direct the laser beam toward a dental hard tissue, and a laser controller configured to control a parameter of the laser beam in order to heat at least a portion of a surface of the dental hard tissue to a temperature above 400 Celsius.
UNIT DOSE PACKAGE
A unit dose package for a dental composition, comprising: (a) a rigid support member having a proximal end and a distal end, the rigid support member supporting one or more storage compartments for the dental composition and providing fluid flow communication between the one or more storage compartments and one or more discharge orifices, wherein the one or more storage compartments each have a volume of 10 l to 1000 l, and (b) a discharge conduit having a longitudinal axis extending from a proximal end to a distal end, the discharge conduit being rotatably attached to the distal end of the rigid support member for rotation around its longitudinal axis, wherein the attachment of the discharge conduit (b) and the rigid support member (a) is provided by two-component injection molding;
whereby fluid flow communication between the discharge conduit and the one or more storage compartments may be established by rotating the discharge conduit around its longitudinal axis relative to the rigid support member from a first position to a second position and whereby the fluid flow communication between the discharge conduit and the one or more storage compartments may be interrupted by rotating the discharge conduit around its longitudinal axis relative to the rigid support member from the second position to the first position, wherein the one or more storage compartments are provided by flexible films made of composite material films, which are attached to the rigid support member.
