Medium conveying apparatus including tray pulled out by sliding two protrusion between rails
A medium conveying apparatus includes a housing including an accommodation portion provided with a guide portion at an end portion in a width direction, a tray accommodated in the accommodation portion so as to be pulled out, and including a placing surface for placing an ejected medium, and an engaging portion provided on a side surface of the tray, to engage the guide portion. The guide portion includes a pair of rails inclined upward and having a predetermined width. The engaging portion includes two protrusions provided so as to slide between the pair of rails and located apart from each other by a predetermined distance. By locating the two protrusions between the pair of rails, the tray is positioned at a predetermined position with respect to the housing with a front end portion of a downstream side in the medium ejecting direction located upward.

Interface housings to couple a scanner and a sheet stacker
Some examples of a document scanning system can include a scanner and a sheet output stacker. The stacker includes an upper surface configured to mate with the scanner configured to scan and transfer contents of a paper document. The stacker is configured to receive paper sheets from the scanner. The stacker includes multiple, upward extending interface housings positioned on the upper surface. The multiple interface housings are configured to be received in respective multiple receiving structures in the scanner, and are configured to mechanically and electrically couple the sheet output stacker and the scanner. The interface housings allow care-free electrical and mechanical pairing of a scanner to a stacker with no tools or adjustments. Simply positioning the scanner on the stacker such that the interface housings are aligned with the receiving structures results in the scanner being automatically guided into place and connected to the stacker through gravity.
PAPER SHEET STORAGE DEVICE AND PAPER SHEET HANDLING DEVICE
A paper sheet storage device includes: a storage that stores a paper sheet inclined with respect to a horizontal direction in a storage space narrower than the paper sheet in width; and a guide portion that guides the paper sheet so as to cause the paper sheet to freely fall in the storage space such that all sides of the paper sheet are inclined at an angle different from the horizontal direction.
MEDIA PROCESSING APPARATUS AND RECORDING APPARATUS
A media processing apparatus includes a media transporter, a stacking portion on which media are stacked, a binding processing portion that binds an upstream end portion of a media bundle, a pair of ejection rollers that eject the media bundle, and a displacement mechanism that displaces a first roller of the pair of ejection rollers to a nipping position at which the media bundle is nipped and a separated position at which the first roller is separated from the media bundle, in which, when the media bundle, the upstream end portion of which is closed, is to be ejected from the stacking portion, the first roller is disposed in the nipping position and ejection of the media bundle is started, the first roller is displaced to the separated position during ejection of the media bundle, and, thereafter, the first roller is disposed again at the nipping position.
PRINTING DEVICE WITH DOCUMENT MANAGING FUNCTION AND DOCUMENT MANAGING METHOD THEREOF
A document managing method for a printing device is provided. The document managing method includes the following steps. Firstly, a printing mechanism prints a document with plural papers, and transfers the plural papers to a paper collection platform. Then, a management module manages the plural papers from two lateral sides of the plural papers. Then, a paper ejection module ejects a first portion of the plural papers at a first speed, and then ejects a second portion of the plural papers at a second speed. Consequently, the plural papers are exited from the paper collection platform. Then, the management module is separated from the two lateral sides of the plural papers, so that the plural papers fall down to a supporting tray. The first speed is faster than the second speed.
