SHEET STACKING APPARATUS AND AN IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
Disclosed is a sheet stacking apparatus which includes a first stacking portion on which a sheet is stacked, a second stacking portion which is movable with respect to the first stacking portion, a third stacking portion which is detachably attachable to the first stacking portion or the second stacking portion and a restricting portion which restricts disengagement of the third stacking portion which has been attached. The second stacking portion is movable such that the second stacking portion is located at a first position where the restricting portion does not restrict disengagement of the third stacking portion and a second position where the restricting portion restricts disengagement of the third stacking portion which has been attached.

SORTING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS PROVIDED THEREWITH
A sorting device is mounted, in an image forming apparatus, in a sheet discharge space open at its front and sheet-discharge-direction downstream side, insertably or extractably at the downstream side. The sorting device includes a base portion, a tray portion, and a flexible member. The base portion is mounted, with the tray portion, in the base portion. The base portion has, in its upstream part in sheet discharge direction, a base inclined portion inclined upward downstream. With the base portion mounted in the bottom portion, the base inclined portion faces, across a predetermined gap, a bottom inclined surface inclined upward downstream in discharge direction. The tray portion is supported on the base portion to be reciprocatable in sheet width direction orthogonal to discharge direction. The flexible member is fitted to the base inclined portion and fills the gap between the base inclined portion and the bottom inclined surface.
MEDIUM LOADING DEVICE AND RECORDING SYSTEM
A loading device includes a placement portion and a correction portion. The placement portion is provided at a device main body, and a single paper sheet discharged from a discharge unit is placed on the placement portion. The correction portion is disposed downstream of the placement portion in a discharge direction, and corrects curling of the single paper sheet by coming into contact with the single paper sheet moving in the discharge direction from the placement portion. Furthermore, the correction portion includes a contact surface that extends in an intersecting direction intersecting the discharge direction and comes into contact with the single paper sheet, such that the position of the correction portion in the vertical direction becomes lower from upstream to downstream in the discharge direction.
MEDIUM LOADING DEVICE AND RECORDING SYSTEM
A loading device includes a placement portion and a friction member. A single paper sheet discharged from a discharge unit is placed on the placement portion. The friction member is disposed downstream of a downstream end portion of the placement portion in a discharge direction, and includes a contact surface that can come into contact with a back surface, of the single paper sheet, facing the placement portion. The contact surface extends at least in the discharge direction, at a position lower than the height position of the downstream end portion in a height direction.
MEDIUM STORAGE DEVICE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE MEDIUM STORAGE DEVICE
A medium storage device includes: a housing frame having, at a front portion, an entrance for replenishment and recovery to which a transit cassette is connectable, an identification unit serving to identify whether a medium is a normal medium or a rejection medium, a temporary holding unit configured to temporarily accommodate a medium, a recycle cassette configured to store the medium identified as the normal medium, a conveyance path configured to convey the medium between the identification unit, the temporary holding unit, and the recycle cassette, and a control unit configured to control the conveyance path such that the medium replenished from the transit cassette is conveyed to the temporary holding unit, the medium transferred to the temporary holding unit is conveyed to the identification unit, and the medium identified as the normal medium in the identification unit is conveyed to the recycle cassette.
